Quickly look up if it is against policy to carry an armed passenger.

I'm sure it's fine. Wave.

Down at the bottom of the ocean. Beneath tons of brine which would crush you down. Not into broken and splintered flesh, but into thin soup. Into just more of the sea water. Where things live that aren't so different from you, but you will never live to touch them and they will never live to touch you.

I'm sure we'll be fine.

(I'm back! Aww, no wild speculation)

I'm sure it's fine. Wave.

You wave at the man, and he takes a mighty stride over a rain puddle to your car. "Um... Amat?"

"That is I," he says in a deep voice. "You probably wonder how it is I have summoned you, but worry not. It is no witchcraft."

"No, no, it's fine. Please, feel free to get in. Anyhow, it's probably less witchcraft and more... silicon valley codercraft..."
"Neat sword, I suppose?"

"Actually, I am wondering about that. Could I trouble you to explain on the drive, perhaps?"

(I'm speculating that they might not just use the app.)

"I just assumed that you used your phone. Though you don't really look like the kind of guy who uses a phone, what with the sword and all. Um, get in."

(Sorry for delay. Had a lot to clean up from the trip)

"I just assumed that you used your phone. Though you don't really look like the kind of guy who uses a phone, what with the sword and all. Um, get in."

The man removes his sword (still in the scabbard) from his back, setting it on his lap as he climbs into the rear seats. He takes a position exactly center, sprawling out and entirely ignoring the seatbelts. "I know not what a 'phone' is. Behold!" Reaching into one of his belt pouches, he removes what looks like a deep red gemstone, about the size of a crabapple. "Nimar-atöl. It is an artifact of sublime guidance which assists me in my travels."

Probably best to just go along with it.

"Certainly an impressive gemstone, I have to say."

I prefer "So, where are you from?"

"What do you do for a living?"

"So... where are you from?"

"The Hills of Persuasion, in a faraway land. My travels lead me to many lands, sometimes by strange ways."

"Huh... travels, eh? What do you do for a living?"

"A profession?" He laughs. "I roam, I explore, I sustain myself from the fat of the land, and I take the belongings of my enemies! But fear not, I know the ways of settled peoples." Amat seems to be examining the insides of your car, pulling at this and that, winding the window crank back and forth. "I must admit, never have I seen vehicles such as this. What call you your profession?"
