Do History go on?

dos history in dwarf fortress progress in game like in the generator? does the world go on doing all the stuff the generator dos while playing adventure or fort?
if i play from year 0 to 100 in my fort or adventure . do i still get the same rich history from 0 to 100 like the generation?
man words are hard lol.

It didn't used to in the earlier versions.

Now it does, almost all events that happen in worldgen happen in gameplay now.

that's wonderful. i'm going to start playing at year 36 and play on.
and when i start a new fort look at legend to see what's happened between in my forts.
