Ema: a Story of Gods
(OOC)

Cycle 11: Battle of the Gods

Adriot the Omega had risen to power, and greatly changed the world order among mortals. Gods were displeased, outraged even, which led them to intervening.

Such actions would lead to the greatest battle Dirt had witnessed since its creation.

------Acter Nobody------

Acter Nobody started moving his Realm toward an island of the Moon. The Realm's displacement would finish at the start of next Cycle.

------Elmedo------

The Minor God Elmedo was gifted great power by the Primordial God Acter Nobody. With so much Essence at his disposal, he recrafted the Golden Eye into a Keystone.

The Minor God then looked through it, having heard of another Universe called Tes. But nothing could be seen beyond the boundaries of Ema, the great and mighty artifact was not unfortunately not all powerful.

"Sorry. There is a limit to the powers I can grant to something born out of me. It cannot act beyond me, or rather, beyond universes. Even I wouldn't be able to. I think only Primordial Ones would have the power to grant your request, being beyond universes."

------Gasnareth Imrep and **/*****/**/*------

Gasnareth Imrep looked at the Gremnears, and decided to meddle with their simple existence. He used his powers so that the Gremnears would give birth to Maxin, a Hero. He then created a Magic Artifact that Maxin would wear once he would be of age.

He then started influencing Maxin so that his prophecy would be realized, also giving orders to the Handyman: "to assist the Errthn in the advancing of various crafts".

Spoiler: Maxin (Hero) (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: The Hand of Fate (click to show/hide)

**/*****/**/* created a species of Creatures, the Paint Wolves, which were placed near the Lair. The God also created a Lesser Law to protect his lair from intrusion.

Then, **/*****/**/* set his sights on Maxin, announcing a prophecy different from that of
Gasnareth Imrep. He used his Sapphire Eye to manipulate Maxin, though as a Heroic Artifact, the Eye's impact was barely noticeable compared to the divine powers of the God.

Spoiler: Paint Wolves (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: The Law of Privacy (click to show/hide)

Gasnareth Imrep: [23]
**/*****/**/*: [20]
The two Gods fought for control over Maxin, leading the Hero to live a life full of conflicts. Ultimately, Gasnareth Imrep won the mind wrestle, and Maxin became the possessor of the Hand of Fate.

------Razel------

Razel secretly contacted Talavars, telling him [i will help you young one, but you will own me a favor]. He then sent Cross to battle the Legend, not before secretly using power gifted to him to upgrade Rykan's Bag of Tricks to a Divine Artifact.

Then Razel used his powers to greatly expand the size of his Jungle, while also raising a great temple (Location) in his name. This temple, placed in the heart of the Jungle, held engraved on its walls history of Razel, the Gremnears, as well as knowledge about war tactics, smithing and combat styles. He then told the Gremnear Chief of the Temple.[/i]

------Kel------

Kel used his powers to create the Lesser Law known as Law of Interplanetary Travel over the Shrine Node. Then he created the Bastion, a mountain fortress in close proximity to the Shrine of the Node, which he gave to the Dwarves.

The God then cast two blessings. One for the Dwarves, giving them a desire to be ruled by one central government: the Dwarven Imperium. A second for the Bastion, which would greatly reinforce its walls as long as Dwarves held it.

To further his plans for these Mortals, he gave a new order to the Iron Servitors, and granted knowledge of minecart, rollers and tracks to the Dwarves.

Quote
There are now only five tribes. Each tribe shall now control one province. A province is ruled by a Duke and acts like its own kingdom for inter-Imperium matters. Affairs with non-dwarves are handled by the Emperor and his council of Dukes. When a Duke dies, a new one is selected from the population of that province, and Emperors are elected from Dukes.

------Manannan Silverhand------

Apart from the event with Adriot, Manannan Silverhand kept a low profile, helping the other gods in their projects. With Ema calming down, the X disappeared.

------Mavnon------

Mavnon traveled the world, enjoying a life of helpful grandma. Beforehand though, she moved Tycho to Alliance Maoth Territory and blessed Buroa.

------Tachyon Everlord------

The Greater Servant Herz informed Tachyon Everlord of Razel's deal, and answered such: "Both will go and bear witness.... Talavars shall stay here to recover".

The Major God then created a second Greater Servant, Montark. He then ordered Herz and the newly created Montark to restore the order between Drogos and Theropods, using force if necessary.

------Foxmox------

Foxmox, having cast off his old name, created a Lesser Law covering the whole world of Dirt, as well as played with the Mortals brought to his realm by his Greater Servants.

The Mortal to win was named Popool, a Slitheroo from Oamoak. The God then rewarded Popool with great powers.

------Innanis Dominus------

Innanis Dominus selected the most curious Starborn, and gave to them the power of a Hero. Fyrma, a female Starborn then became Fyrma the Seeker.

------Mpaïspmapma------

Mpaïspmapma courted the System known as the Grand Unified Theory of Sorcery, though naturally, all form of exchanges were pretty one-sided. Eventually, the God merged its essence with that of the System, in an attempt to give birth to a new progeny.

[6]+1

The left eye of Mpaïspmapma suddenly burst out and fell toward Dirt, turning into a ball of fire and energy. This shard shone bright in the starry night, until it fell in one of the many unshaped lands of Dirt.

A single being rose from the crater that ensued. A being of pure and bright energy, it was a humanoid being with cow horns and seven eyes. It was a Mortal, the sole of its species, as well as a Hero.

Alone, it wandered the barren lands.

------Eris and Discordia  ------

Eris and Discordia invoked a localized disaster on Adriot, throwing on him a blazing chunk of the moon.

Then they used their powers to create a Servant and an army of Lesser Servants, which were sent to the temples dedicated to their creators.
[1] They attempted building more structures without Essence, but failed to do so.

------X'arilyg------

X'arilyg first created a Divine Artifact. Then he secretly empowered itself with its remaining Essence, and incarnated into the Mortal Plane to fend off Adriot's assailants...

------Ma'Rook ------

Ma'Rook secretly used his Essences to create a Greater Abomination, a Dexoth more powerful than any every born. Intending this Dexoth to lead the other Abominations, it was granted great powers. Finally, the Major God built a massive cave system spanning a Region under Torus.

------Non-Player Gods------

Helyx kept enlarging the Dexoth Ocean, pouring all its power in it. Now, the Dexoth Ocean had become large enough to cover a large part of Dirt.

------Acter Nobody, Manannan Silverhand and X'arilyg: the Battle for Adriot------

X'arilyg incarnated into the Mortal Plane, stopping the moonshard sent by Eris and Discordia. Then wielding the Divine Artifact it had just created, he stood in the way of those who would attempt to harm Adriot the Omega.

Manannan: [16]
Cross: [19]+[2]
Herz: [12]
Montark: [8]

Above the Imperial Capital, the Gods and Servants clashed against the empowered X'arilyg. Waves of divine energy tore space and time, searing beams of holy light carved the land and ignited the heavens. The battle would heavily scar the Anchor.

After the battle far beyond the scope of Mortals, only X'arilyg remained unwounded, having forced its enemies to retreat. But then, anyone who would look at the lands below would wonder: was it worth it?

[The Anchor Region has been destroyed, replaced by a sterile and broken land.]

"Oh! That was really entertaining."

CARVER TURN

Despite the disaster of the Anchor, the World kept turning.

------On the Torus Continent------

The Aftermath:
The Anchor had been disfigured. Only Ascension's Peak had survived unharmed, but all the other lands didn't. With them, disappeared countless lives and cities of the Empire. The Darselav Empire was no more, having disappeared in divine flames.

Unfettered, Adriot the Omega moved the siege of the remnants of what was once a great empire to the Iris Moonsoon Forest, returning to the land of his ancestors. He rebuilt there the Adriot Empire, though that nation was but a shadow before the Empires that came before.

Talavars saw from the Ascension's Peak what happened to the Anchor and the Darselav Empire. The trauma of this catastrophe, which he felt responsible for, made him exile himself from civilization, living as a hermit in the ravaged lands of the Anchor.

News of the tragedy of the Anchor reached the ears of all mortals of the Torus Continent, except for the Dwarves. This caused religion to greatly increase everywhere in the world, except Tarrant.

The Darselav Empire has disappeared, purged by divine flames.
The Adriot Empire has appeared in the Iris Moonsoon Forest

The Adriot Empire and the Bovine Rebels:
With the Theropods reforming their nation in the Iris Moonsoon Forest, the shadow of slavery once more loomed over the Bovines. But this time would be different, as inspired by the Goddess of Dance, the Bovines of the Iris Moonsoon Forest had gained great courage.

Thanks to the Law of Dance Battles and the Law of Bovine Dancing Genius, the Bovines of the Iris Moonsoon Forest managed to resist the Theropods with the power of dance.

Adriot: [14]
Still, none could stand before the overwhelming power of Adriot, and the Bovines were soon reduced to slavery once more. But the fires of dance never disappeared from their hearts, and violent dancing uprising kept appearing despite being crushed again and again by Adriot.

The Alliance of the Two Wings:
Already knowing firsthand how the Gods could heavily impact the lives of Mortals, the people of the Alliance decided to give their worship to all known Gods to avoid incuring their wrath.

Thanks to Buroa leading the magical research program of the Alliance, they managed to discover and use a weaker version of the Gem Magic wielded by Drogos. Buro was told to seek the legendary Gravamster, but the playful little fellow was nowhere to be found.

Malna and the life of Maxin:
Maxin had been always guided by voices for as long as he could remember. There were always two conflicting voices, until the day he wore the Hand of Fate. One voice disappeared, and he started obeying the sole remaining voice.

Meanwhile, the ancient god of the Gremnears had appeared once more, telling to them the location of his temple. Here they sent Latalia and numerous others, where they learnt of Razel's history. The Gremnear history was exactly as they knew it, and they felt no pride knowing how were the Gremnears of old. The temple was used to give their prayers to Razel, but they didn't pursue the way Razel envisioned.

Until Maxin broke the taboo of approaching the Bloody Tower, where rested the Staff of Lux. The hero's behavior had long been noticed, and at the base of the tower was waiting Latalia and several Gremnears and Sharp Foxes. They tried to change his mind, but he refused.

Maxin: [8]+[3]

With the power of the gauntlet, Maxin killed all those who stood in his path. While himself terribly wounded, he then entered the Tower, and took claim of the Rod of Lux. Maxin's corruption was complete the moment he grasped the staff, and Maxin became known as the Evil Gremnear Lord.

With the Zixni at his command, he crushed the pacific Malnans, and created his own kingdom.

Malna has crumbled
The Kingdom of Maxin has risen[/i]
[Gasnareth Imrep's prophecy came to pass]
Quote
"A Gremnear will take forth from the bloody tower the Staff of lux, and with it they or one whom comes after them will subjugate the rest of their own species, Killing many who oppose them."
Gasnareth Imrep earned 3 Destiny Coins. His standing increased quite a bit.
"You had to meddle a lot for that one!"

[Razel's prophecy came to pass]
Quote
"the gremnear will face a great tragedy only to rise more powerful then before"
Razel's standing increased a little bit.
"Sorry, but that one felt a bit too easy to fulfill."

Thneomi:
With the disappearance of their homeland and families, the Drogos who didn't become mad settled in Thneomi. As a result, this country kept growing and developing. The Handyman also started teaching the Errthns of the way of crafts, but his impact remained minimal and unimpressive.

The Country lost contact with all the settlements that bordered the Dexoth Ocean.

On another note, the Dread Mountains are now filled with crazy and mad Drogos, leading mirrors to be very bad for sanity.

The Iron Servitors and the Dwarves:
The Iron Servitors kept guiding the Dwarves, telling them what to do and how to live. With the newfound desire for Dwarves to be ruled by one government and the orders from their God, the Iron Servitors created the Dwarven Imperium and its five Dukedom.

Ironically, the Iron Servitors ended up becoming the Dwarves masters, as generations of dependance of the Servants knowledge and wisdom led the Dwarves to become more akin to a flock of gentle sheeps. Dwarven craftsdwarfship was advanced thanks to their crafting techniques combined with alchemy, but they didn't, or rather couldn't innovate.

The Dwarven Emperor and its Dukes were no more than symbols, puppets that followed every words of the Iron Servitors.

The Demons of the Lesser Sphere 1:
A crazy Demon of the Lesser Sphere theorized that their world was but a microcosm part of a greater universe where lived superior beings. The madman's rambling were amusing, to say the least.

------The Dexoth Ocean------

Kor'Shugareth and the Dexoths:
Kor'Shugareth: [15]
Stronger. Smarter. More powerful than ever. With an Ego surpassing all others. That was Kor'Shugareth, the Grand Lord of the Ocean. He rose above all other Dexoths, and ruled over them. The way the Dexoths lived didn't change with the rise of Kor'Shugareth, but all of them benefited from the ambition of Kor'Shugareth.

Despite his massive ego, the Grand Lord viewed all the Dexoths under his rule as a part of him. As such, their wellbeing was his wellbeing, and their greatness was his greatness. Inspiring the other Dexoths, they started sharing more than ever before, doing terrific progress in magic, science and other subjects.

Then some Dexoths encountered the mortals of Thneomi, enslaving them. In typical Dexoth fashion, each Dexoth formed its own kingdom, becoming the Overlords of these lesser people. With each Dexoth, came a different rule. All were tyrannical, some were cruel, other were benevolent.

------The Moon------
Fyrma:
Fyrma went on a journey to explore the lands they lived on. She tried to recruit or inspire other Starborns, but none were interested in her uncanny desire of discovering and understanding new things.

She ended up traveling far and wide, living a the lonely life of a wandering scholar. She studied magic and the laws of nature, always trying to sate her curiosity.

The Incilatro and the Starborns:
The two people of the Moon grew hedonistic and lazy, indulging in a peaceful life of joy and pleasures.

------Adventures of Great Beings------

Nicolai and Thousandtails:
The two Greater Servants heard the suffering of the Sharp Foxes from Razel's Jungle, and started heading there.

Popool:
Popool returned to Alliance territory, forming a band of performers. He indeed brought great fun to the Maoths and Spirit Wereckickens.
[Foxmox's prophecy came to pass]
Quote
"The new champion of fun shall bring great fun to all Maoth nations! Whether Ma'Rook wants them to or not!"
Foxmox standing increased a little bit.
"While it was entertaining for mortals, it wasn't so much for me!"

Eris and Discordia's Servants:
Adriot kept growing more and more defiant toward the Gods other than the one who uplifted him. Refusing to let Eris and Discordia's Servants disturb his reign, he launched an assault on them.
Adriot: [15]
Chaos Witch-Priestess: [5]
Adriot: [9]
Chaos Witch-Priestess: [6]
The Chaos Witch-Priestess has been struck down

Adriot himself killed the Chaos Witch-Priestess, and left his Theropod troops slaughter the defenseless Imp Pilgrims. He then destroyed the temples to Eris and Discordia.

Adriot and the Great Sagewood:
Adriot: [10]
Great Sagewood: [6]

Adriot fought the Great Sagewood, wounding it. The Great Sagewood refused to flee.

Adriot: [13]

Adriot fell the Tree.

Opera:
Opera ended up in Alliance territory, where she lived for a while, learning of the customs and history of these people. Soon after, she disappeared again.

Gasnareth Imrep:
The God did some sightseeing, but there wasn't much to see in the unshaped lands.

Mavnon:
Mavnon took care of some lost mortals, creating a new folklore.

------Artifacts------

The Pupil Portal Emplacement, the Everfull Chest of Super Awesome Foods:
With the destruction of the Anchor, several Artifact locations Were lost to Mortals..

Mavnon physically carries Tycho to Buroa.

Mavnon physically goes travelling around the world and asks mortals if they would prefer their own personal Dreamworld, or continue to live as a mortal. She grandma's them as she does.

She also flashes a neon   emoji at X'arilyg.

Mavnon votes Tachyon Everlord

Mavnon moves to the shore of Helyx's Lake. She asks Helyx if she can make some rivers to feed into into the Lake. She also asks if Helyx will ever stop expanding the lake.

1E: Mavnon plops a region in the middle of the Dexoth Ocean. It shall be known as Tranullis. The region is an arid landscape with little fertility, save for the coast which has rich roils. The inner region is practically covered in iron and other minerals. Uranium is commonly found.

1LE: Mavnoncreates Gympie Gimps, a shrub about the length of a [human] that is found on Tranullis' fertile regions. It has hairs that cause intense pain to those that touch it. The pain remains for up to two years and may motivate suicide.

The Dwarves will now be blessed with innovation and the desire to self-rule. They will break the bonds of tradition, and the Emperor and his Dukes will make their own decisions about the workings and affairs of the Imperium. This will break the cycle of stagnation.

The Servitors will be ordered in kind: They are to be the workers and soldiers of the Imperium, not it's leaders. They shall take their orders from the Dwarves for the time being.

As for my Essence, it will be given to MPaïspmapma for the custody of the child of the Cow and the System.

I also vote for Eris and Discordia.

Lastly, I create a Prophecy: "The Imperium will, with time, become the greatest power on Dirt."

Satisfied that my will has been done, I return to my Realm.

"Of seventeen divines there are,
Two young gods who interest me:
The Brame who sees with many star,

Although the Brame has many arms,
Although the Brame lacks not acclaim,
The Brame shall suffer Final Harm,
Should the Sea march 'gainst the Brame.

Hearing no objections, Gasnareth Imrep Sends forth his hero, Maxim to do battle with Adriot, And makes himself a prophecy while he is at it.
"Adriot will Die, And with his death he will not be buried in a tomb nor other structure made by his kind, he will be buried deep beneath the ground where none will remember its place baring the gods."
