I don't have a portable music player, and if I ran anything else on this machine while DF was running, I'd get a whopping 1/2 FPS.

Anyway, I like the default music for dwarf mode...its hypnotic.  For adventure mode I typically open up winamp or iTunes set it to shuffle and it shuffles between Nightwish, Steel Attack, Epica, Metallica, ACDC, Within Temptation, and whatever else ended up falling into the endless void known as the "Misc. Music" folder.  Theres stuff in there that I forgot I had.

I don't change the music based on what I'm doing though.  I usually change what I'm doing based on the music.  Many a village was slaughtered because 'Steel Attack - Diabolic Symphony' came up while I was shopping.

Angtoria, Iron Maiden, and Jethro Tull.
Maiden during battle, Tull during times of peace, and Angtoria pretty much all the time regardless.
Of course that's just the main ones, I'm sitting on about 18 GB of various music right now.
I never lack for good tunes.
