Turn 33 Begins

"If he kills me, I simply request one of you bring my body back. It should be fairly easy to carry."

Go meet with Anuvo. Look as non-threatening as possible, to help facilitate good negotiation.
"I'll bring your body back, even if I have to eat it first to do so.

Hah. But seriously. Good luck out there. Straightforward is probably best. Remember what that guy said about him, and if he needs a little nudge, use that, otherwise, just give him the offer and let him do any extra talking and questioning.

BUt you'll know better than I, probably. See ya soon."

"Oh, hey, Nix - while I don't have any ideas at present, just try and make a racket if anything goes wrong. I'll be there as fast as I can."
With his friends wishing him luck, Nix continues on through the nearest exit to his rendezvous with Anuvo. Now that he's out of sight, Osmond and Antony can only hope he'll be able to make some kind of sound if something goes wrong.

Meanwhile, the curtains on the stage part; the area is decorated to resemble the gathering of a royal court for coronation. The "king" in question is being stood over by another actor dressed as some manner of priest. They speak their lines... or they should be. Are they supposed to be silent?
Jack suddenly snaps back to reality.

"Uh... Let's just say I was thinking about something."

He watches as Mana, analyzes the book, staring hard into it.

"Well, I doubt I'll be able to get much from this, seeing as I lack any abilities that would allow me to. Hey, would you mind telling me what you got from it?"
"It appears to be a book of knowledge. Give me a moment."
Spoiler: GM Action (click to show/hide)
Jack absentmindedly mumbles a bit before inquiring about the book. As Mana whispers a few words to it, the pages fill with paragraph after paragraph. PM'd.

As the play begins above the storage room, an uncomfortable stillness washes over Mana and Jack.

Damn it. It's a trap!

"Jack, we're leaving. Also, knit me some animal plushes. Big scary ones."

((Not entirely sure if I should post an action, cause I'm not sure if I've met Anuvo yet. From what I can tell I've just moved...offscreen(?) relative to the other Murder Inc. people. ))

Jack pauses for a moment.

"Hey, how about you actually tell me what's going in? What's with the book? And the traps? You're keeping me in the dark here, and I'm not just gonna go along with what you say if you don't tell me what's happening. That's not how I do things."

He looks around, and begins to knit animal plushies. If he is successful, he doesn't give them to Mana just yet, demanding some form of explanation.

"This book just says what building, over and over again. It's a construct, and therefore likely a trap of some sort."

"As for the plushes, remember what happened with the other bits of thread. Going to use that to set them loose."

Jack nods, giving the plushies over to mana, of course, if he is successful.

"Alright. I'll trust you with this."

I'll head towards the exit. Look for anyone else in the group to join up with - this is really, really bad.

"K. Now which way are our party members"

Ask the book what direction they are, and lead us to them.
