The new thread really should have been discussed here first, since PTTG??'s sudden new unauthorized thread just made for some confusion. That said, we might as well lock this now to avoid further trauma. The new thread is
here.
Stage 8 is finished aside from the bug cap, yeah, meaning that I've worked on Megabeasts for a week and there's a ton left to do but I'm not going to do it now. There's more I'd like to do, but the point of Megabeast Week was to restrict myself to a week. Stage 9 is going to be more like fixing up some refugee issues; I'm going to skip any other nomad/migrant stuff for now. Stage 4 still has a lot of leftovers, and there are various other things I have to look at.
Regarding gruesome sculptures etc., everything in this release is world gen handwaving unless something sneaks through by virtue of already being implemented (like now having a snatcher show up that isn't a goblin because it already knew how to pick snatchers from their civs rather than generating them). So there won't be sculptures lying around. Or anything. Release 2 is meant to address some of this.
Slow learner makes them learn skills at half-speed. Since giants can learn skills and they now start in the largest groups, I wanted to stop them from becoming dominant.
Kobolds claim territory, or whatever the territorial maps denote.
Adding an option to make all legends visible is on to-do for Stage 10. It isn't really in the overall spirit of the game, but since we don't have books or many other ways to expose legends, having them visible will allow people to see what I've been working on.
Yeah, the front page can probably use a redesign. And the screenshots are still more than a year old.
They already hold themselves back from starting wars a bit, but they are also still somewhat psycho. As more diplomacy and trade goes in, yeah, this will change.
