Deandre begins to search for  interesting looking plants at e6 with Salis. She also researches edible plants. Furthermore she uses her free gathering ability to gather all sorts of berries

Nirara catalogues the pod contents for easier salvaging, and begins researching Blacksmithing.

Nirara takes a plastisteel knife, and uses it to try to salvage what she can from her escape pod. (F6, probably.)
While doing this, she researches Pod Disassembly.

OK, I will take the pistol, I already have the equivalent of a knife, so that would be useless, and a rifle would keep me from using my built in weaponry.

If half the players are confused, it's on the GM.

I Equip the plasteel Knife, and search F7
Mind letting me use the knife? It will make taking the pods apart easier.

I'm pretty sure it actually was allowed to split research in my old game. It's just that nobody was dumb enough to do it so it never came up. What I really need to know though, is where are the descriptions for the player's abilities? I only saw the old ability list from the previous games.

Edit: I also do not see where player castes are listed.

By that I mean an overarching plan for what everyone should do/focus on.
I think it's hard to have much of a plan of action with as little information as we have. I think that a generic focus on food and scouting is probably good, but it's hard to get into specifics.

Personally, I'm hoping to make this husky slightly useful, get to hunting, and pull together some basic leather items like backpacks and a harness. Try to improve our ability to carry things, and hope that translates into better foraging, which seems to be our only immediate food source. But if we suddenly find an easily cultivated food source, that plan would change.

I've decided to drop the caste system for this one, and I'll work on ability list things.

I'll assume the Ability List will be completed before the game update because we need to know what our abilities do before we post our actions. (Or at least the smart kids do). Let me know if I am mistaken...

I am hoping we discover something that can be used to make string so I can use it for traps. I thought about researching string but I thought we might need to find a plant we could use to make it with first.

I've decided to replace traits that don't have a practical or niche use with random ones, and change redundant ones into the ones in the list I had pregame.

Also, I'll use a D100 to determine random events. Emphasis on random, since the dice won't care if you get a pirate raid after a manhunting elephant pack ravages your colony. You have been warned so don't overreact if we all die to something beyond your control.
