A thought occurred to Gaal'garot. His detection abilities would probably be far in excess of any other creature while out in this moonlight. He would see if he could get closer to the bird by forcing the bird to search for him; because that bird clearly wasn't intent on leaving him alone. He would move to circle around to the other side of the rock while paying close attention to the bird.

You do know that any plan involving said rock will end badly. You got shot pretty far from it.

Circling.

Your hearing tells you it's eating now.

I was not told how far that I was from the rock... And yet as far as I can tell this plan worked amazingly well?

Gaal'garot took note that the bird was actually more interested in the scorpion than in him. He would note the direction that the bird was facing and sneak up on it from behind with a balance of high speed and his silent movement. He should be able to bite its neck from behind like this.

You make one.

"You know, I can be childish too."

And she's just floating now. The water floods in and-

Drenches you from your other portal. You are now very wet. At least you're used to cold.

She is now floating above the water line, and a visor-helmet with a glowing circle upon it's face hides her face from veiw.

"I would suggest you answer, rat, before I lose my patience.. "

You charge forward, moving past its tail and wings to bite the neck.

It takes off in an instant, brushing you into the sands with a burst of wind as you move under its wing.

Gaal'garot almost makes a swift grab for the bird's feet... But gets a better idea.

There's still some perfectly good scorpion here. He could use this. As the bird was taking off there was probably a brief period where it wasn't looking down. Gaal'garot flick a bit of his own blood onto the scorpion's carapace after making a self inflicted wound.

Then he would use another Sonic Screetch. This wasn't about hurting the bird. Now it was an act. He would provoke the bird until it attacked him again, then he would flee around the rock once more. When the bird ingested something it shouldn't... It should be much more vulnerable to a bit attack.

Sonic Screech

Ineffective as usual. You also drew blood and flicked it into the exposed meat.

It's taken to the air and made a tight turn.

It opens it's wings with a Wind Pulse

Concentric green circles fly toward you, a green orb contained in its forefront.

Gaal'garot decided it was time to go somewhere else. He would attempt to dodge by moving in the direction of the stone. He would then make a retreat and circle around again.

He suspected that the bird should be feeling confident enough to think it can dodge a second attempt, and probably be smart enough to even be watching out for him. Neither of these things mattered.

Ice shards flying, you rushing.

She dives into the water.

You fall into the water. Flight disabled

Gaal'garot pivots and turns 180 degrees with his Supernatural Dexterity. He then waits. The bird will either go in for a melee attack, or use another special skill. He would wait until after the bird committed to an action before he reacted...

It seemed as though the bird had committed to an action that it wouldn't be able to cancel out of. Gaal'garot decided to punish this. He would use his Unholy Might to deliver a full power kick to his head to counterattack as it closed the distance.

There were two probable things that could happen. The first possibility is that the bird wouldn't be built to handle this kind of head on impact; and it was quite probable when you consider the necessity for a typical bird to have hollow bones in order to fly.

The second possibility is that it would be able to adjust its trajectory, or its attack wouldn't actually involve a head on collision. Gaal'garot had a plan for this as well; playing dead. He was very good at it. If the bird was able to look at someone lying on the ground, possibly with pieces missing and not breathing, and still identify it as the threat that it is... Well that would just be plain impressive.
