Silver-made weapons against undead?

Is there extra damage bonus vs undeads when dwarfs use silver weapon?

No, there's no hard-coded buff against undead for silver weapons. However, bashing weapons are often good against undead because of their high chance to mangle (important when dealing with zombies which might rise again if they aren't mangled) and their low chance to sever (which can result in more body parts that can rise again), and silver is the densest metal that can normally be used for weapons. So, silver bashing weapons are generally your best bet against undead, if there's a chance of those undead reanimating. For something like a vampire though, this isn't really a factor, because vampires don't reanimate unless there's a necromancer around or something.

Yeah, silver is good because it makes better bashing weapons. If there's a lot of undead, just arm your soldiers with silver maces, silver hammers and silver bolts, and you should be fine. Just make sure you don't make any silver edged weapons, because they are bad.
