Within the last game year, I got two notifications that someone has returned, "(they) brought back many tales from beyond (my fortress)". For a single person each time. And returning was all they did, now standing at the map edge a few steps from where they entered, labeled friendly, not visitor, and doing absolutely nothing. What are they supposed to be/do? I never had associated sites, but have started to exile everyone I could a while ago, before the first of them showed up. I don't recognize the names but that doesn't have to mean something, depressed bards are plentyful here, not everyone is memorable.

I'm not sure if bug 10517 is about their huge numbers or should be reopened. Opinions?
