You kneel before the chest and silently invoke the incipient deity in your thoughts, willing into it the power to protect Abystok. Then, as a closing flourish, you bite your thumb hard enough to break the skin and allow your (newly-)regal blood to drip onto the assembled materials, feeling the presence inside seem to swell or throb in response. Behind you, Salkun gasps slightly but doesn't object, and after you reverently close the lid, stand, and turn around, she looks overjoyed with your offering, dropping to one knee and bowing almost as low as she did when she first saw you.

After Salkun pours forth her small fountain of gratitude, which you deflect with the traditional jarl modesty, you stop a moment and think about whether you want to do anything else here before getting this little adventure over with.
