So, I figure for this turn we ought to revise something to give us at least a stopgap against their air-corvettes. Some ideas thrown about were either a revision of the Scylla to make a mobile AA gun version, or a revision of the Perahudara to have a Scylla on board and hope that the extra effective range compared to their main guns would make a difference (and the fact we can possibly make it cheap this turn).

On that note, we can make a lot of things cheap this turn by grabbing an Ore and a Caelium with the node and resource credit, including the Perahudara, the Avalanche, the LFG, and the Kerata. We'd also make the GGG Expensive.

Also, anyone artsy enough to make a recruitment poster :p

AAS-14 'Perahudara' Combat Refit
A modification of the Perahudara adding optional 20mm Caelium Steel armor plates to protect the engines (Lifting and otherwise), the pilot, and the gunners' positions. The upped LGG/GGG can be replaced with a 105mm Scylla artillery gun, to allow it to engage hostile Orleans airships at respectable distances.

I can agree with that revision. May as well start the votebox, although if people have other ideas feel free to mention.

Always odd how votes take so long to get even from people who agreed to them (talking as someone who took almost a day to vote for no reason)

Year 1914 AC Hot Season, Revision Phase

Proposal: AAS-14 "Perahudara" Combat Refit
AAS-14 'Perahudara' Combat Refit
A modification of the Perahudara adding optional 20mm Caelium Steel armor plates to protect the engines (Lifting and otherwise), the pilot, and the gunners' positions. The upped LGG/GGG can be replaced with a 105mm Scylla artillery gun, to allow it to engage hostile Orleans airships at respectable distances.

Difficulty: Hard
Result: 2 (2+1-1) = Utter Failure

Well we tried. Any time we added something to the Perahudara it disturbed the delicate balance we'd unknowingly achieved with the vehicle in regards to size, weight, power requirement, and just about everything else under the sun. We ran out of time this season to work on the refit thanks to the complications at every turn in regards to it's ability to actually fly. We think that if we focused on a single change at this point we could easliy upgrade the Perahudara without the need for a total redesign. We could also attempt the whole refit at a later date, but all we've gained from our work this season is "we are really bad with vehicles".

----------------

While the refit turned out to be less than desirable, your previous work still gives us a solid foundation on the battlefield. With conflict against the Abberan's imminent, it is on your shoulders to fortify a sector and assign a resource to a node this Strategy Phase. You also must finish, submit, and select your submissions for the "Why We Fight" and Recruitment Poster challenges.

We can only hope that we can end this war quickly and go about our normal business.

IT IS NOW THE STRATEGY PHASE.

Well that's unfortunate. Guess we should be more specific next time - and next turn should probably be about getting air parity, or closer to it. Anyways, voting time I guess.

To explain my votes:
If we end up needing to fortify the crossing, it will be done by revision right now. We only really should fortify it naturally if we push them out of Harren. Thus we should fortify the areas outside of it for now.

Resource nodes are basically arbitrary, but 1 caelium and 1 ore makes a ton of things drop in price.

Nobody else proposed a "why we fight" piece so it's the only option for now.

Recruitment poster is not a vote. We just put any we have (there's three in discord) in the core thread.

Even if you found a suitable opening, I doubt it would prove all too satisfying. And it might leave some nasty wounds, depending on the moral high ground's geology.
