The warp howls outside the walls of plasteel and the crackling gellar Field.
You hate warp travel, always have its too close to the things.

There's a thump as the ship exits the void, the purple bleeds like blood from wound in reality. 

Well not your ship, not while your on a penitent crusade.
Right now you have only a small force of marines to command, and the technical rank in the fleet.

Your cabins vox crackles in to life,
"Chapter Master Urist, please come to the bridge there something important you should see."
Captain Halwood's voice books no hesitation.

You run the length of Imperatoris Sagitta, knocking a mop serf out way as you pass.

On the ships bridge, you can see worry on Captain Halwood's face and shear terror in the navigator two unmasked eyes.

"We are lost i tell you! His light is gone!" the navigator rants.

"Chapter Master Urist what he says is true, we appear to be in an area of space with out the light of the holy Astronomican.
It's probably some localized warp storm nothing for us to worry about." the Captain try to reassure you but you know too that warp storms can last for years.


"Report from the Explorator-Magus.
We have contact two vessels detected, the scanners are weak, there at the extreme edge of there range.
Alpha signal reported to be hexahedron.
Beta signal reported to be wedge like." the servitors voice is cold and flat.

"Well Chapter Master shall we see whats out there?
Or is discretion the better part of valor." the captain asks you.

you know what I’m changing my vote this is obviously some kind of dark age of technology/xenos artifact or a heretical trap we must be cautious and maintain our purity.

That is an extraordinarily tiny quantity of troops for a Cruiser grade vessel of all things. Those buggers are larger than Hives and usually have dozens of void infantry regiments.

It's a Tyrant Class Cruiser, 90,000 crew (approx) plus 40,000 odd Imperial Guard and support,then there's Ecclesiarchy support roles
