With a picture of said mug being raised by its creator on it. I've never seen fey mood dwarves produce an item with a picture of THEIR item on it before. I've never made mugs before in the fortress, so it's impossible that he got it from another mug/mood. Anyone else had this?

Unfortunately DF is not recursive.

"There is a picture of a mug being raised by its creator. On the mug there is a picture of a mug being raised by its creator. On the mug there is a picture of a mug being raised by its creator. On the mug there is a picture of a mug being raised by its creator. On the mug there is a picture of a mug being raised by its creator. On the mug there is a picture of a mug being raised by its creator..."

Question is, could the creator draw a picture of an event which had not yet happened?

That almost exactly what I said when someone posted a ruby scepter with a ruby image of a ruby scepter on it.

I had a gem ring once.  It was decorated with rings of the same material.  One it was a picture of it's maker holding up a ring, in the same material.

So it was a ring of rings of rings...

Likewise, I went to the store once, and decided to get fruit.  I love pears.  But they had 8 types, and I never had tried most of them, thus I bought two of each.  I had a pair of pairs of pairs of pairs of pears.
