I can imagine dwarves at a volcano burial:
"Ashes to ashes, dust to - I NEED SILK AND GEMS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!"

Hey, has anyone tried flinging booze into magma?  Or coal?  It'd almost be like a.. Dwarven Candle!  Light fuse and get away!

Do bodies stay inside coffins if the coffin is deconstructed?  That might make things easier if they do, just build it, stick the body in, 'unbuild' it, and dump the casket.  WHEE!</STRONG>

I have noticed that very little unhappiness is generated when recent immigrants to Fireblossoms find themselves standing around in the temple for some mysterious reason... and then the high priest pulls the lever.  So I'm guessing cremation works out all right as far as decay goes.
