What's going to be really awesome is carving a 3D dragon head when the z-axis is introduced...unfortunately I'm not quite sure how taking screenshots is going to work,  I doubt a bunch of 'slices' would do it justice. What I would love to eventually see is some way to get an aerial view of the entire fortress, but sadly I doubt that will ever be possible...

We will have a 3d viewer, it just won't be all that great to start. Bet you could still make something with it, though

Hopefully we'll have access to the viewer that Toady showed in some of the screen shots.

I forgot, theres something wrong with my color in this game. When i build statues, they all have the standard grey appearances, the gold one in the center wasn't actually built, its considered an object that could be picked up. The statues only have color when they arent built for me.  :( Oh well, if goblins come ill still post a screen shot.

Huh, that's weird...do you know why it's screwed up like that? I've never heard of that problem before.

If building them won't work, have you tried using stockpiles?

It's not a bug- the statues are being covered in snow. That only applies to constructed ones, which explains why the golden "eye" is unaffected.

Well it took them long enough but the goblins finally came in early spring the next year. Eighty strong, they thought to take on the legendary stone dragon of Bimerith... and claim glory for their own... the fools..

The magma didnt spread as it did when i fantasized but that was hardly expected, nothing is perfect, but i still enjoyed it, here are some pictures.

I call this one 'The Abyss Stares Back'
http://img503.imageshack.us/my.php?image=beforetoastmi1.png

And then there is 'No Mercy for the Brave'

http://img360.imageshack.us/my.php?image=astoastgs7.png

Finally, my favorite, 'For Another Day, Perhaps'
http://img360.imageshack.us/my.php?image=goblinrunfg7.png

Only one survived the onslaught of the Stone Dragon of Bimerith. He will return to tell of the horrors he saw.. and although he managed to avoid any physical harm, his psychological trauma may never end..
