You head outside to the market, and see a bustling bazaar full of stalls, tents, and other street vendors. You walk around in the crowd before you see some sort of retailer, and walk up. The man inside the stall is haggard, and seems to be a foreigner. A small coin rests in his hand, and he grins when he sees you approach.
"Greetings, friend. What can I do for you?"
You display the parchment, and the man examines it.
"A fine piece of parchment you have here, indeed, something of the like used by scribes. You wish to sell it? I'll give you... well, I'd buy something of this quality for around 8 crowns, or 60 Dolorchmae, should you use the currency of the Southlanders. Your call, friend."
"Intriguing."
Head for the storeroom with powdered silver in mind.
You head to the storeroom, and find an old man reading a small book. He glances up at you, and you inquire about whether and where you could obtain powdered silver. He points you to a brass door to your left and tells you to head forward two aisles and then turn right, which you do. You see all sorts of alchemical reagents, ranging from common prairie flora to exotic looking dried shrimp. You turn right, and come to a shelf full of satchels, all labeled similarly.

Jericho thinks for a few good seconds, before nodding slowly.
"I can certainly see this working. I just need to work on increasing my strength so it's more practical in combat, so I'll be on my way to the training grounds."
Jericho does just that, taking both pieces of armor and heading to the training grounds. There, he begins typical strength-based workouts. He tries to perform his exercise while wearing at least the chainmail, so that he may get used to the weight of wearing at least some armor.
You head to the training grounds with both pieces of armor, and don the chainmail. You do a few sprints and pushups while wearing the chainmail alone, and find it tolerable, although it certainly isn't weightless. You drill with your weapon a bit, and find yourself beginning to become accustomed to the weight of the chainmail. It's not quite that bad for your balance now, but you're still feeling slower than normal.
