Spoiler: What is this? (click to show/hide)

Something stirred. Elsewhere, an old, ancient machine responded to this intrusion by whirring to life, in a small room located...

A. In the ashes of the creators Motherworld, among the bones of its creators. An asset lost inside it's fabrication site before the Last Stand.
B.  In a Drone Rack inside a shattered Hulk of one of the creator's last bastions, set in the backdrop of a annihilated industrial world.
C. Somewhere else, far, far away from where you were created; A small shuttle, deep behind enemy lines in the orbit of a border-world

First to activate was the Fusion-Cell. Freshly replaced from the last of the stored stocks, power flowed through the veins of the machine before the primary function of the system came online...

a. A massive, incredible, beautiful mind, held within a platform that only utilizes the bipedal-two armed form of its creators in utility; It wasn't built for war, but it was retrofitted to end it. will of this platform, it can sheath itself with a false skin. to the eyes of the enemy, you are nothing but an individual of an extinct species, but your appearance deceives. You are every bit as durable and lethal as the other machines developed.
b. it's many, speedy limbs; with six legs built around a central body that can extend dozens of utilitarian mountings for the mercurial use of weapons. Designed to cling to the ground, walls or ceiling of any surface. The end result of an Era of research towards stopping the war. Faster then any other, you will be a terror in the battlefield no matter what weapon you use.
c. it's weapon, designed around the primary weapon it was mounted, it is less capable in other aspects than other frames, but its purpose is clear and bright. Beyond that, your rather simple purpose allowed your creators to custom-design your frame to endure in all aspects, and you come with a special device to enhance your primary weapon. (Additional options for body creation would be made available.)

As the machine stirred to life, it's the first weapon it was taught to use, the only weapon it can rely upon in these harsh, new times is...

A. A pair of energetic blades, designed with an impossible machination and the precipitous gravitic engineering intended for the creation of the next generation of starships, A pair of emission systems can generate a gravitational field, one the size of a sword, the other a dagger. Both can variate the length of their projected blades. Yours is the blade that can cut out the heart of the stars themselves. it is a weapon of finesse, and more uses will come from practice and inginuity.
B. built into your frame, your very self is support infrastructure, electric conduits, and an expanded electrical system; Your hands are the ones fit to wield high-energy weapons like Phazon and laser weapons in a capacity like no other. Weapons fit for your caliber were not created in time, and the weapons you hold are sub-par compared to your potential.
C. wreathed onto your frame/ limbs, immense slabs of myomere cabling, rocket-jet nozzles, and very precise range systems along with an adept system; A brutalist design view where the only thing you are expected to rely upon is your self/ego; Weapons are fit as tools, to be discarded when another is found, be it torn from the living hands of an enemy or from the decrepit racks of a Yaerian armory. Although other frames are said to be able to adapt to a degree for ranged weapons, no other platform is expected to rush a ranged combatant and survive the encounter no matter what the odds are, for your hull is that of starships and space stations.

Judging by the rate of votes coming in, I'll head to bed and put an update in about 15-17 hours from the time this post was placed.

As the final boot-checks completed, the rack unfurled the restraints from your chassis, and you land on your feet, with only a muffled thump. Even as diagnostics check upon your capable systems, the withering of age slowly becomes apparent.

You are enfeebled, but you are still capable. Which each step you take, the parts corroded together to break apart and become reformed.

Age has not touched your mind in the same way it has touched your creators, as it is timeless. The mind of yours is a massive computer that would take up a room worth of space assembled in a localized entrance to an alternative reality. In essence, allowing an almost completely self-reliant/maintaining computer to take up the space of only the doorway to enter it; the size of both your fists together, neatly emplaced just below your "head". All Frames of your caliber use this system, but none are as expansive as yours.

One flaw of such a system is that time does not pass when it is disconnected from the "Home-line", but it will still decay, if in such a perverse and un-understandable way.

Such a decay has thoroughly destroyed your recall of past memory along with more subtle changes thinking process that has yet to show.

In the vast derelict ruins of the Facility who's name is forgotten was once the last, best hope for the Yaerians survival against the determined exterminators. The walls and ceiling are decaying, but underneath the facade lies a concrete-metal construction designed to hold in the passage of time, and orbital bombardments.

the lights are off, but you flick your sensors to a different mode dozens of times before a complete picture of the area ahead of you becomes apparent.

The room before you is where you were born, where your massive mind was assembled and then activated, to be entombed into your battleframe.

Desiccated corpses long mummified are all that is left of memories bygone. The air was lit on fire here, as the walls are charred black, and the corpses preserved in their state from the lack of oxygen that still soaks in the air.

What stirred you to life was the flow of dead air, outwards into a new entrance.

An impossible hope fills the bright yearning mind.

Could it be...?

the frame strode out of the assembly room, into the vacant, quiet halls. it snuck past the ancient turret emplacements, checkpoints. following the scent, the fragrant smell of oxygen, and all the other odors that was not stagnant carbon dioxide.

It was closer now.

The pace of there breath. The way they walked, and how it reverberated from the halls, and the half-forgotten, ancient words that reverberated in its skull.

These few in its halls were not the machine's creators. They walked among the ash of a dead facility, but they did not hold themselves like Driven Exterminators.

Their pace was slower, stopping at any interest and conversing among themselves in behavior profoundly alien to their doctrine as soldiers.

They number 11, 4 being soldiers beheld with weapons, unthinking killing machines leashed to a single operator, while the others poked at and observed the ashes of the dead civilization.

An impossible buzzing rides forth on the back of your mind, but action must be done.

A. Avoid them, make haste towards exiting this facility.
B. Observe, catch their communications and risk detection.
C. Directly intervene, interact with them.
D. Move to the facilities self-destruct warhead.

After a few minutes of watching, they move on from a decrepit terminal to another, then to a different set of machinery, into a room of which there is only one entrance.

A console to a tertiary reactor of the facility. they fawned among systems, desecrating a corpse by shoving it away from the keyboard and took trinkets from the ground and tables.

the Drones themselves idly observe around themselves, neither quite catching you nor seeing much into the dark. The Operator, on the other hand, was a little more dangerous, watching the drones rather than his immediate area, a perhaps fatal mistake.

While you were weaponless, the weapons they hold are not wholly alien to you. you recognize the ergonomics of the alien weaponry, the parts pieces that come together to a system; it fires bullets with chemical propellant, made usable by the fact that it had to be anchored against the user with their arms and several braces which attach to the chest and shoulder. It would be easy to wield them as your own.

Perhaps now would be the best time to act.

A. Forward, attack mercilessly and efficiently.
B. Come out, and try to speak to them. It's wholly unlikely that they will shoot you on the spot, and you can rip them apart if they do.
C. Wait for them to leave, attack the caboose, then pick them off one by one.
D. Take out a maintenance panel and jack into the audio system, and play some "music" to psyche them out before engaging with option A.
