Ministry of Transportation

The venerable Technician-General A-Journey-Of-A-Single-Step-Begins-With-A-Thousand-Glory Ponzu was recently ousted after a spat of intra-ministry drama said to parallel that between Mion and the Ministry of Records. As a result of this vacancy, bureau heads have begun searching for a suitable replacement from among the semigods in a bid to increase the ministry's standing in light of the ongoing turmoil in and among the greater ministries and the disaster of a succession in the Garden. (The latter, at least, is guaranteed to boost the Ministry of Transportation's influence no matter who wins.)

The Ministry of Transportation enjoys close relations with the Ministry of Pontifice (such that the Pontifex continues to receive a supply of pre-approved Teleportation Permits even after the recent upheaval) and the Ministry of Might but has an ongoing grudge with the Ministry of Civilization.

Ministry of Names and Works

The Ministry of Names and Works has historically been content with simply recognizing legendary deeds and approving Names/Titles, but ministry activity has been on the rise lately following the ascension of a gang of murderous godlings to godhood. Seeing their example, many also yearn to transcend their lowly stations, and it's rumored that the secrets of godhood are carefully guarded by this ministry...

Day-to-day duties of this ministry include surveillance of emerging heroes and villains, clashing with the Ministry of Worship over fundamental philosophical differences, distributing Words, and overseeing the safe, orderly disposal of lost or dangerous Names/Titles.

Ministry of Worship

The Ministry of Worship works to collect the worship of the faithful in whatever form it may take, be it in the form of praise, sacrifices, martyrdom, or preaching.  This ministry spends a lot of its time and funding fending off attempts at incorporation by the Ministry of Civilization and the Ministry of the Realm, who have inexplicably identical claims to the effect that this ministry is a wayward splinter to be brought back into the fold. The influence of the Ministry of Worship was once coupled to the efficiency of worship collectors working in the Garden, but this function has largely been usurped by the Ministry of Civilization. Thanks to the latter's feud with the Ministry of Transportation, there may yet be room for reassuming that sacred duty...

Ministry of Purity

An offshoot of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Purity largely deals with environmental protection in Heaven. Their work is seldom needed as most eldritch invaders are successfully repelled by the Ministry of Might before any issues arise. As a result, they mostly concern themselves with subtler incursions, possible defectors and traitors, and literal pollution.
