Depends on how long the Alchemy lasts. In some cases it’s permanent, others have a time limit.

Although the pace of updates will no doubt slow down, I would like to get the first turn at least done relatively quickly. As such I encourage you all to vote.

If you have any questions or clarifications of things you would like to know, please do ask. The discord is the fastest means of communication but I will answer questions directed my way in the thread as well.

Discovery Phase

Investigate Runic Component: Water Element

Celestial Element ‘Shadow’ Discovered
Hidden in the depths of Water lies a darker Shadow. A holy terror that binds the flesh to spirit and the dead away from the living. Though we know to look for it now, we have not discovered the secrets of controlling it. Although primarily formed with the aid of the Water Element, we believe some understanding of all the Terrestrial Elements is required to direct it.

Alchemy Insight Gained
With our mastery of water we have gained an insight into our Recipe, Swan’s Black Blood. The poison produces an imbalance in the elemental balance of the victim, an excess of Water. Perhaps it would even protect them from fire, though the side effects make use of such protection impractical.

Investigate Runic Component: Form Meaning

Form Meaning Discount Gained
Adept understanding of the Form Meaning teaches us to form a more meaningful and holy icon. It more readily accepts mana from the environment, making any Recipe using the Form Meaning less burdensome to mix.

It is now Summer of Turn -3 Design Phase
This turn is a double turn, so you may take 2 actions each phase. There will be no Battle phase.

We need a hero at the beginning so she gains as much experience as possible, and for her to become a d6

(Design) Swan’s Song: By applying martial and magical technology we have created the medium size bow where the draw weight is great and can have it arrows propelled through range the entire laminated wood being 6ft long of a large bow, all the Swan’s Black Blood is applied to the arrows in the quivers, causing the arrows to have powerful force and messing with the way blood clots. This is a powerfully long-ranged weapons that combined Runic magic to its arsenal.

Create a Hero: One of the daughters of the Noble family that pledge their allegiance to the Crown, mastery in the way of hunting and exploration has led to her becoming a royal and decorated officer among our forces instead of a savvy politician, she mastered the art of the bow and knife and is preferred to be a skirmisher and taking out men from afar. Her name is Adiva, which is contrary to live she has chosen, unless her record kills are mercifully gentle.

Perhaps we should test the runes to get a water repellant effect, as our bows have a problem with moisture

Considering they going to have bows in the start too, and that water are also probelom to guns, we can do something that take water from it's environmentend lunch it in a diraction we choose could be an effective equipment.

We probably need Control to actually reduce the the water in our bows to reduce moister unless Ward (Water), Form (Wood), Attack (Air) works in its role for alchemy and we don’t know that, getting a hero this turn would be nice and creating a longbow with the swan blood poison would help us at range

Another option is to modify the spear with a small bladder connected to the front with a tube but that could go wrong easier

Design Phase

Design: Swan’s Song
Quote
By applying martial and magical technology we have created the medium size bow where the draw weight is great and can have it arrows propelled through range the entire laminated wood being 6ft long of a large bow, all the Swan’s Black Blood is applied to the arrows in the quivers, causing the arrows to have powerful force and messing with the way blood clots. This is a powerfully long-ranged weapons that combined Runic magic to its arsenal.

Roll: 2 (Normal)

Constructing a 6ft long laminated wood bow was tricky, the fragility of the bow was large enough to reduce the amount of tension that could be put on the bow before it breaks. As a consequence, the draw weight of the bow has not greatly improved compared to our normal bows. Pouring Swan’s Black Blood into the quivers has revealed a weakness in their design. They don’t seem able to contain the poison without leaks. This makes the quivers unsafe to carry as our archers would risk contact with the poison themselves. As a result, our archers are forced to set up in a static position first, so they can set their quivers down before pouring the poison. Naturally, they simply abandon the quivers afterward until enough time has passed for the poison to reduce in potency.

Cost: Land 2, Mana 5

Create a Hero: Lady Adiva Shrivastava
Quote
One of the daughters of the Noble family that pledge their allegiance to the Crown, mastery in the way of hunting and exploration has led to her becoming a royal and decorated officer among our forces instead of a savvy politician, she mastered the art of the bow and knife and is preferred to be a skirmisher and taking out men from afar. Her name is Adiva, which is contrary to live she has chosen unless her record kills are mercifully gentle.

The Lady Adiva is the golden champion of the archers. Her short golden hair and piercing brown eyes combined with her well-muscled frame make her an idol and exemplar to many. Those who know her speak of her fierce concentration and calm focus in battle.
