Five years ago, the nations of the world began their war for global supremacy, a mighty clash of East vs West.
They said it would be Seven Days to the Rhine, as both sides filled the sky with steel.

A year and half ago, a massive nuclear exchange failed to give any side the decisive advantage
they sought.

Now the army's who orders once came from Moscow and Washington are no more.
But there scattered and scared remains live on, there governed now only by the mouths and wants.

Winter, 18 months past the midnight, since the doomsday clock hit midnight and the suns fell to earth.

You awake in the cold, it's colder then it should be, the fabled nuclear winter.
An engine splutters and dies in the distance.

You are James Porter, formerly part of British army and late of of US army's second combined NATO front.
But that fell apart and now your in a cold hole in the ground and wounder what to do next when a large engine splutters and dies in the distance.
 
You stick your head up out of the branches covering your hole, a fresh snow covers the ground.
The good news if that you can see what was the source of the noise.
A 100 meters away down the hill side is broken truck, steam hiss's from the engine bay.

The driver is cursing and hammering on at the truck with a pistol.
You take a moment to check your weapon, a battered MP5 submachinegun , it's seen better days and right now you wish that you had more ammo for it.
The driver, well he doesn't look army, but that matters little these days.

The choice is simple, you can't just crawl back in to your hole and starve to death, so you can ether see what the truck is about, or you can pick a direction and head in it, see what you'l find.
