Fell mood...bug? maybe? Dwarf kills, then wanders off without body

So, I had a dwarf get a fell mood, upon which he claimed a butcher's shop near my refuse pile, wandered around a bit, then killed one of my human axe lords. Then he just walked away, back to his workshop. Now he's sitting in his workshop without anything, presumably about to go insane. Could this be because it was a visitor that asked to join for soldiering?

Edit: other dwarves cleaned up the mess.

Maybe dwarves aren’t good at using non dwarf corpses

That's what I'm thinking, but in that case, dwarves shouldn't murder the first intelligent they come across, but should specifically target dwarves.

Basically, there are many possible ways for this to be intentional, but the...combination of unlikely possibilities....makes this seem very bug like.
