Human Jesus turned water into wine. Dwarven Jesus turns functional people into vomiting, suffocating people. It all checks out.

I think that throwing money at total strangers is kind of nice. I do it frequently.

I once liberated a whole dark fortress worth of children upwards of 80 from a life of slavery and gobbing gobbos only to have them call me the leader of a new civ or group of sorts.
They all wore metal masks swarming on my enemies with childlike venom.
I remember asking a few there ages most under 5 many more 2-3.
I never returned them to there homes. Instead they all matured in a days time from red to a grey recruit. I could then equip them and it was glorious.
It was just too much for my computer with all the lag.
Having 80 companions was great while it lasted though. The whole screen was covered in allies.

I once stumpled upon an old human ranger and, as always, asked for informations about trouble. One of his tasks involved the hunting of a giant alligator which, according to his words, killed his mother. Upon further investigation by asking about his family he mentioned that not only his mother died to "Denttire something something" but two cousins and four (!) of his five brothers.
I asked him to follow me.
Together we travelled the moist jungles and dry deserts, defending against packs of hungry dingos and wild wolves, challenging the thirst and hunger of the long march towards our destination - revenge. Upon entering the lair of the bloodthirsty beast, which single-handedly almost destroyed a whole family, it attacked us. The meager copper bolts of my companion couldn't pierce the thick scales of this predator and I had to jump into the way of Denttire to prevent another dead family member...
...and in an act of pure kindness I hacked at the legs, damaging the nerves and bones, to bring this beast down and shattering his teeth to render him harmless...
...and then I stepped back to give space to the old chap who managed to journey this far and who was eager to use his crossbow as a hammer of pure justice. A hammer that came crushing down upon the scaly head of this wicked creature. Again and again and again, until Denttire took his last breath.
It was kinda satisfying and I was glad that it wasn't me who did the killing blow as it wouldn't have been fitting.

Letting someone other kill random enemies - the purest form of kindness in DF.

well got news of a criminal organization taken over a town only to see the place is in ruins. parked my Camp directly on a wanderer and notice it was a stray goblin.
ask them why they were traveling and got word it's because their previous home is gone. so I ended up getting a goblin refugee, and hope they make the camp a new home.

Was there something which was at least incidentally helpful to someone else?

The last thing I did was introduce a man to a life of poetry and adventure - which mostly was him building houses for me. Also he left his two children unattended in his house for the opportunity...

Once I did find a werebeast living in a cave outside a town. He was in human form. I sat and talked with him for a long time. We chatted about family, values, and just about everything I could get out of him. I like to think that would be a humanizing experience before I put an end to the curse.

Kindest thing ever done:

"I... um.... talked to a man before violently depriving him of his life. He had some wild theories, though."

Adventurers hatch out of adventurer eggs fully formed and filled with a lust for blood, glory, and treasure and a complete lack of morals.
