To ensure backwards compatibility and the "old-school" look & feel of the game, Dwarf Fortress will emulate the CGA graphics popular in the 80s: A palette of FOUR colors (black, white, cyan, & magenta) and a maximum screen resolution of 320 x 200 pixels.

Re-introduce the "Dug too deep" mechanic that unavoidably kills a fort, but with any and all ores.
(Other version, making the game even more unplayable: With any and all Diggable tiles, and trees for good measure)

Elves now replace their bones with Titan bones.. Stone and Metal Titan bones.

Skin too for good measure.

A fail-state from the 0.23 version of DF where your fortress just dies outright with a random chance the more "cotton candy" you mine

Cats giving birth have a 10% chance of giving birth to armed goblins instead of kittens.

Dogs giving birth have a 10% chance of giving birth to clowns instead of puppies.

Dwarves giving birth have a 10% chance of giving birth to elves.

Elves giving birth have a 100% chance of giving birth to elves, but the average yield is doubled.
