Players can nominate primates as barons, and this will be entirely respected by the bemused liason and fortress residents.

In many such cases, a oranguatan would actually be a better choice, and is regarded as a citizen including wearing clothes and having its own nobility quarters, office & tomb, adopting need to eat and drink & sleep.
