It'd be in line with fairies from folklore stealing babies and replacing them with their own. But it'd be also appropriate for trolls, at least the Scandinavian ones.

Exactly. Children should have the VERMIN_HATEABLE token. Some dwarves absolutely detest children.

Children should be able to make deals with goblins so that they come and snatch their siblings.

Sometimes they may feel guilty of this, but the goblins will give the kid back only if they go through a labyrinth.

Dwarves should be able to hide from zombies(and flee properly from them). This is shown in much real life applications like 28 Days Later.

Dwarves should also be able to sell themselves to traders if they are children.

Dwarves repeatedly sell themselves to themselves, each time amassing more "value," which cascades exponentially causing a stack overflow.

Dwarves with high value will sell themselves to a caravan to buy things they want, but realizing that they can't have the items they sold themselves for makes them depressed.
