Said "Moledog Day Loops", as they're called, will usually be triggered by a deity who wants to teach a particular dwarf a life lesson and will only be resolved by that dwarf undergoing Character Development.

Character Development involves the dwarf learning to code and replacing the Premium graphical UI with the original DF text-based UI.

This is starting to sound like a good suggestion.

Somewhat unpopular opinion but I actually like the Premium tileset (though I'm also partial to ASCII, mostly just avoiding it in Premium on account of the unsightly formatting changes resulting from aforementioned switch to graphics). :P

The game should force the player to use the tileset/graphics they hate the most. So, ASCII purists have to play with the Premium graphics, while those who loathe ASCII must play with it.

The game should come default with a tileset that features anime character designs that all have massive tits.

Toady One should stop DF development for several years in order to thoroughly study gainaxing.

Jiggle my sprites captain!

Jiggle physics only react to movement, so it would only react after changing tiles. And on death, when the sprite suddenly flops on the ground.

But not for breasts. Googly eyes. I want googly eye jiggle physics.

https://www.x.org/releases/X11R7.5/doc/man/man1/xeyes.1.html

Noting that one of the noted 'uses' out there is to work out where a small mouse cursor is on a large screen (or several!), especially on remote/mirrored screens where the viewer isn't necessarily the one moving the mouse. With advice to use two (pairs of) eyes when eyeballs don't give good enough distance indication through (single-pair) angle-of-eye difference.

...so imagine how good it'd be if every pair of eyes on screen move to follow the mouse... Definitely a good idea, with no downsides!

(xroach could also be repurposed to indicate vermin, xphoon could help with calendar changes/were-creature issues...)

Hippos should move about by utilizing the thrust created as a result of explosive diarrhea.

The trails of the hippos' movement will contain brown contagion.  Soon all residents will be doing likewise.

Hippos should be infested with hippo butt leeches. For realism.

Put parasitic vermin in hosts' inventories, on the appropriate body part they attached to. Hippo butt leeches for example can only attach to the anus of hippos.

Don't bother adding anuses to hippos, though. Let the leeches starve.

Of course there will also be giant hippo butt leeches and hippo butt leech men.
