Dwarf Fortress needs an update. Dwarf Bunker is about you overseeing a community of doomsday preppers and the construction of their new underground utopia.

I was under the impression all forts were doomsday bunkers waiting for the inevitable doomsday to ether come to it or be created by it.

Vault Manager sounds like a good spin-off for Fallout.

there is a mobile game where you manage a vault, it’s 2D,3D(sprites can move past other sprites), there’s exploration, I can’t remember the name right now since it’s been a while since I played it. I’l, post the link to it when I figure it out or PM you the link to said game

Magical Martial Arts.
By that I mean that some secret civs could create fighting schools in which only the thoughest can prevail, and they would teach forgotten fighting techniques that defy all laws of physics. Such techniques could be super-fast-punching several times an enemy, exploding him into bits, have his eyes grow red and kill almost everything in single punch, touch an enemy's vital points and make him explode in gore, summoning a "fighting spirit" to exteriorize one dwarf's anger, etc.

For instace;
Urist Wrestler the dwarf is fighting Lazlo Bandit the goblin!
Urist Wrestler the dwarf is punching Lazlo Bandit the goblin in the stomach multipletimes! The speed of his fist is incredible!
Lazlo Bandit the goblin is paralized! His body is mangled beyond recognition!
Urist Wrestler the dwarf is touching Lazlo Bandit the goblin on the forehead!
Urist Wrestler ; You're already permenantly dead.
Lazlo Bandit ; You're speaking non-sense!
Lazlo Bandit the goblin has exploded into gore.

Make all dwarves one punch man but with the added bonus of them not being able to control their power so everything they touch explodes into gore.

That's just the regular population of Australia in TF2.

Sometimes flying dragons and other beasts die in midair and fall onto your fortress, piling it with layers of viscera that can eventually build up to full tiles.

[I actually think this would be great]

Yaaay! [clappa clappa clappa]

New forgotten beast syndrome: all dwarves have their blood harmlessly replaced with magma.  There's no external indication of this, and it doesn't cause any real problems...until one of them bleeds.  For bonus points, the condition spreads from dwarf to dwarf via skin contact.

There is a small chance for a random Dwarf to become part of a 'Fire Cult'. These Dwarves will obsessively create fires, in ways from burning random flammable items to lighting themselves on fire before rushing towards other Dwarves and attempting to 'greet' them. With a hug.
