: "The library's still looking like the best chance. An old city like this, they oughta have some information from Ace's time. Maps, building records, that sort of thing."

"No, it's not that. We do have an enemy looking for us; if there's likely nothing to be found here, I'm not going to hold everyone up by insisting we search. It's more efficient to try the library."

"Well, we know the author went from Rubidan to Auroch in Kiza..."

"Did we mention Salaam? He was the other friend the author took with him - or her."
