"If we encounter any more of those types, it only gives us a chance to contribute to cleaning up this city. I don't see this as a negative."

: "'Near', yes. The shipyards themselves are patrolled pretty heavily by guards - there's a lot of money that goes through that place every day, so the shipmasters and tradesmen like to keep things relatively safe."

Ismo simply remained quiet and glanced away when Vigdis began to talk about "cleaning up the city", well then, this was only getting weirder.
"..."
Thanks to Jasmine he was able to pretend he didn't hear that and continue with their conversation.
"A lot of money and heavily guarded...That's oddly shady, but as long as we can pass through without needing to pierce someone's skull with an arrow, it will be a fine day."

Jasmine thought about pointing out that few things were shadier than Ismo's getup, but decided against it.

: "You see the same thing in any major marketplace or port. Just...try not to shoot anyone who isn't shooting back."

Clara couldn't help but feel comments recently said we're just tempting fate, but kept quiet.
"Then let us hope that the gang leader does not guess where we are going. I cannot imagine he would be able to follow us, if we are able to get a ride on an airship."

"I have no reason to go around shooting  people without an actual reason."
...Getting paid being an actual reason, which obviously wasn't the case.
"Either way we need to keep a low profile, so those with a more...Appropriate outfit will lead the group, William and Vigdis in specific due to their armor and what it symbolizes. The spell flingers and Karin should stay behind them, and finally me and Astera."

: "You want an appropriate outfit?" Jazz pointed to her garb, which included a heavy leather apron covered in pockets and, of course, safety goggles. "I fix airships for a living. Every magitech wears stuff like this on the job. Not only will I not attract any attention, I can guide the rest of you around."

"...Do you want me to stand as the leader of our group?"

William chewed his lower lip nervously. He wasn't sure how well that would go.

Karin musters the confidence to speak up.
"N-not that I would mind that, b-but....Jasmine should lead if we're looking for an a-airship to take us to Rubidan. She's right; she's the one who won't stick out in an airship yard. If William, Vigdis or I d-did it, they might ask questions l-like if we're supposed to get on or have tickets for a ship and get suspicious."

Jasmine gives Karin a grateful smile and thumbs-up for her show of support and good sense.

"It is a fair point. William, Vidgis and yourself are the only people wearing a very visible armor, and usually when it comes to wandering in groups people expect to see guards. You and them can stay by her side as the 'guards' while the rest of us just stay behind as the 'rest' of the crew."

Astera had decided that whatever they were talking about was boring and had instead made it their goal to explore the library. The rest of the group would figure out where to go. They were more interested in finding something shiny. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, they were in a library. So there wasn't anything that drew their attention. Wandering back, they tugged on Will's arm and frowned up at him.

"Is nothing more here, yes? Is time to go then. Want to be finding flying ship, not sitting around talking, yes? Time to go then!"

With that, they headed for the door, hoping the rest of the group would follow.

Ace had been mostly quiet, browsing around the mechanical design sections of the books, but he couldn't hold back the question anymore

: If you'll excuse me... what is an airship?
