"But surely she would still have a different last name, if she was someone unrelated simply named after her...?"

:"Eheh, well, I haven't said my last name yet. Buuut... well, I think that when people actually start pressing, and I bet they will, I'll just 'fess up. I think they're gonna get super suspicious."

"S-sorry...I-I really don't know much more than where it is a-and what it's like. I really only read it s-somewhere in a b-book....maybe one of the others might know, I-I'll go ask them!"
Karin takes the opportunity to slink off to go ask Amber, Clara and the newcomer- and also to escape having to be the one who might screw this up for the group-, when she catches the tail end of what the other new person just said.

Thankfully for their continued incognito status, Karin hasn't heard much else.
"Huh? S-suspicious? S-suspicious about what?"

Karin decides not to pry at the moment, a small frown tugging at the sides of her mouth.
"Never mind. D-does any one of you know anything about Warche?"

Senija touched a hand to her forehead and then threw it up in the air at the remarkably-timed arrival of the, uh, other person whose name Senija didn't actually know. This gesture of frustration was matched with a stare off into the distance, as if to say "of fucking course".

As for the other girl's actual question, though, Senija shrugged.
:"Uh, no, sorry, I can't really say I have."

"Sorry to be a bother, i-it's just, uhm....t-the clues we found, we think they're telling us to go there and we haven't found anyone else who knows anything about it yet."

"Be at ease. You are no bother."
"Well, we know it was raised via magic around two hundred years ago, but the land that was raised was unliveable, and the consequences for Kiza were dire. There were at least three people responsible - Zukovich, Salaam and the third person who wrote the diary."
"I am afraid I do not know anything about the land itself, beyond it being nigh-uninhabitable and supposedly the haunt of dragons. As far as I know, no one lives there and nothing is done with it."

Clara reached out and gave Karin's hand a quick squeeze, quickly letting go and returning her previous position.
"As I said, you are no bother. Do not feel the need to apologise."

: In any case, we should probably leave the area. I closed up the hidden passage behind us just in case.

And so they left the old laboratory behind, trying to look for a new lead, but a few blocks down the street the group would be intercepted by an enormous man coming from a side alley.

: Excuse me, could I talk with you for a moment?

"...!"

William barely stopped himself from drawing his sword at the sudden stop, but let his hand rest on the hilt regardless.

I'm too on edge.

"What about?"

: I will go straight to the point: you have stumbled into something bigger than a simple treasure hunt. In that building that you stormed there was something very important to me and my organization, that you may or may not have found, but this is not the place to ascertain that. If you come with me to meet my boss, both our groups could benefit by sharing our knowledge. And one more thing.

The stranger turned towards Ismo.

: Blue Argiope?

"...You do know that you are making an extremely fishy request, right? Especially when you are openly admitting you are working for someone, it sounds more like you are asking us to walk right into an ambush."
Ismo reached for his bow the moment the stranger spoke up again.
"Yes, that is correct. And I think it might be time for you to start explaining yourself."

The stranger lowered his voice.

: I don't want to talk too loud in the open, but our group are the employers of your group, and due to how our groups work, technically I am your superior. We can talk details later, but you've affected our operations significantly, and I need to know whether for good or bad.

The stranger looked around and lowered his voice further.

: We have other pieces of the diary that leads to that alleged treasure that everyone has been coming here for.
