Aya lifts an eyebrow, then passes Joachim the pipe.
"As long as you don't hog it all."
"As for you, my....skinny-bottomed friend, what else are you going to stare at, the scenery?"

Joachim took the pipe and then took a tiny, careful puff of it - which resulted in a series of small coughs but he didn't look distressed by it at all.

"Wherrre did you get this?"

"It's quite fine, indeed."

He took another two drags from the pipe and passed it back, looking considerably more at ease than he did previously.

"Just gotta find the right people. The merchant caravan I rode out with once introduced me to this stuff. Helped 'em keep calm when nights got tense or when the air got kinda thin up in the mountains."

Heledd leaned toward Milos, getting just far enough into his personal space to make a normal person slightly uncomfortable.
"Enjoying the spectacle?"

"I see. It's verrry nice. Perrrhaps we can sharrre a pipe some morrre, laterrr on."

His usual subtle purring that rolled his r's when he spoke seemed much more pronounced than usual.

Milos tried to give a little nod to Aya, once more trying not to get too involved in discussion especially when Joachim already seemed to be entertaining her... and while he was trying to watch Aurelia and Jupi some more, he found himself giving another sudden 'eep' of surprise as Heledd came way too close for comfort. It took all of Milos' self-control to not shake uncontrollably.

"U-...um... i-it's... interesting seeing it, yeah..."

Joachim just purred in response.

"I'm... feline fine."

He chuckled to himself at that terrible cat pun.

"What about you?"

"Damn. You really mustn't have had this stuff before. I wasn't nearly like this when I had it the first time and I'm not even that big a girl."

Joachim seemed satisfied with his own explanation and purred.

Two days of hard riding stretched on, with only a few short rests for the group to relieve themselves, and notably once to change the horses drawing the cart. With nothing to do but tag for the birds and herbal recreation for those on the cart, the conversation eventually withered. They rode through the night, and into the next day. They stopped a few hours after sunrise, the horses panting and gasping as the group climbed down from the cart. Grae stretched mightily, wincing.

"These things may very well be my least favorite way to travel. We're going to approach on foot. Take a moment to stretch out. We don't know who's in charge at the villa. That said, let's try not to kill everyone. Whoever it is, they may have some serious political clout, and I'd rather not get the guild shut out of the country if I can help it. Be careful." A short while later, the group was approaching the complex.

The ride hadn't been comfortable and she had little to say or do, but at the same time she was always happy to stay close to the others.

"Are those guards? We should probably check out these buildings before they see us..."

Claire gathered her robes and moved ahead, a familiar wind picking up around her heels.

Grae to H-20.
