How do taverns work in adventure mode?

Whips:
I'm not really used to building sites in adventure mode, and i just found out that you can select a zone in you building to be a tavern, but i'm not sure if it works the same way it does in fortress mode (people coming to visit and dance, for example). Do people come over or it does not work for now?

Just about all I know for zones is that you can make it a main hall/mead hall and stay at that site safely retired. I suggest setting it as a tavern and do some more construction to pass the hours. See if you get any visitors.

In addition, I wonder weather people will start working there abstractly. Say, if you made some adv. sites with taverns, and then played a fort for a couple of years. would anyone move to the site to become a tavern keeper? or maybe one of the sites original residents?

Fatace:
Main Hall zone has the only purpose.. which is allowing you to retire at that location and claim the location. The rest of the zones do not do anything (yet). But you can set your followers to those locations... and that's it. lol

Sarmatian123:
Well, I assigned my hero dwarf and his 6 companions to a location. I was hoping, when I leave zone, then they will stay at that location. That would skip me 6 annoying "stay put" chats. It didn't work at all. My followers are also my hearth-people, so I canceled adventure agreement with one of them. The dwarf just stood there in empty field, idling. He did not head into the zone to stay there. Now, I am puzzled.

What assigning anyone to a zone really do?
