This playthrough is going well enough for me, aside from "a few" deaths, and one of my pets hating me from dying too much...

I started as a goblin pianist. I probably should have gone with Juere or the one that gets a magic capacity-like feat. Used a scroll of inferior material, and my piano is easily portable (4.8 stone). Used harvest time quests in Vernis then Yowyn to increase strength, and found a few safe-ish places to practice piano. Clean up mischief quests are also easier than expected.

Although I started a duel with the queen using a duel glove, which was a bad idea. I only won after losing all 4 pets twice (rezzed mid-fight at the pub) by using spells, scrolls, and a rod of teleport, and all of my healing potions and a rod. Good thing her healing skill is low, so I could grind her down. My museum is now rank 75-ish. Whoo!? My museum and 2 ranches (putit for charisma corpses and rabbit for tails) are right next to Palmia. Next it's time to figure out what Parasite Kids (citizens who multiply, and are called "parasite kid") are. I'm assuming it's not great.

It seems in my run, there's a werewolf murdering people in Palmia and you need to vote for who you think the werewolf is (there's a vote panel near one of the town entrance), and there's an investigator that helps to make background checks between votes from time to time (he tells you one guy is definitively human

And near the central fountains, there's a character named "Kutlord the werewolf male" , what a great disguise that werewolf have :D

If somebody's going around calling themselves Cut-lord the Werewolf, I'd think the real werewolf was just taking advantage of a stereotypical edgy teen and letting them take the fall for it.

In this case, I assume "werewolf detective" is two descriptions, not one. Obviously part of a conspiracy.

Also, Custom-G is a good build, but should probably come pre-packed like DF graphics packs do. It's lower-effort than installing a sprite sheet, but I'm not going to get people to play a weird Japanese game if it takes more than the barest effort.

Edit: I also love grinding skills by eating equipment. Mmmm...hat.

Whoever got the most vote has been executed in Palmia, but unfortunately the game does not tell who actually "won" that vote, it's just someone/somebody got executed.

So i'll never know if "Kutlord the werewolf male" was having the short end of stick, the Queen of Palmia was actually quite close in votes last time i checked the panel, the poor woman she must have had some enemies :D

Anyways, i really like this Custom-G too, just the hydration removal makes one less layer of tedious, not sure why the Elona+ devs decided a few months ago to add such "feature" when they already have the nutrition one.

So far after collecting so many rods in my various level 1 random dungeons clearing and several puppy caves run i could easily gain access to The Exile as a companion by sacrifiying the rods on the element deity altar, as the NPC is the first gift this guy gives.

A bit earlier i got an older sister to join my party after reading a diary and in a fight a mad scientist monster after being destroyed asked to join me.
I accepted, but after suffering a couple of devastating ether mutation ( one with -10 charisma another one that made me absorb all the rods charges) a bit later i had to remove the poor scientist from my party to be able to afford the deity given one.

Funnily some minutes after that i ran into a cure corruption potion in a low level dungeon (i lost all my chips never managed to get more than 3 wins in a row at Palmia's blackjack , the cure corruption potion requiring 4 , it's frustrating to have failed so close), meaning i would have waited a bit i could have kept the mad scientist while having a spot for the Exile.

I guess it means i'll have to check more gather spot as casino chips can sometime be found there, i'll need more cure corruption potions in case i get another bad case of getting caught in the wild with an etherwind.
I had spent a lot in investing money into the magic shop but at the level i got it ( 40 so far) , it does not seem to have cure corruption potion yet, though it has sometime cure mutation potions that are always helpfull after some fountain drinking bad luck (and i have a lot of bad luck :D )

So for now i'm leading my 3 party members, looking for more money and items.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

and found a rather devastating crossbow
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

something of note : it seems there's no gather spot that generate anymore in the Puppy Cave random levels (in the past they did, but on all the dungeon crawling i did in Puppy Cave, 0 gather spots), they only happen in other dungeons

Update on the Parasite Kid situation:

Anyone know how to quietly execute a citizen without hurting your karma? Or get a werewolf to come to Palmia so I can accuse them? All of those identical male citizens are called "Parasite Kid" and they're still multiplying.

It's either that, or try the Red Blossom quest which has a...slight impact on your karma. Probably improve my museum though.

Edit: rods and spells of summon monster worked. Thank you all.

If you go the summon monster solution, be carefull you don't have an alien spawning there, your parasite situation can go worse

Currently i'm trying to gather as much money as i can to afford a museum deed (as they're a bit more expensive in comparison to storage deeds), there are so many different figurines and cards polluting my home and storage house, they should get me a nice income if i put them in museum

You can give pregnant NPCs dye/poison/sulfuric to deal with these kinds of problems. Throwing it at them also works but will cost karma and may make them hostile.

Things to know in Elona+ when planning to infiltrate a guild that is not yours in order to learn the unique skills from their guild trainers :

- have means to cast incognito (a disguise kit, a scroll of icognito, or the spell itself if you had the luck to find an extremely rare spellbook)

- have means to remove the npc blocking the entrance stair on the surface (teleport other works great by example)

- have enough platinium obviously, it's rather hilarious to get in front of the guild trainer and notice you didn't had enough platinium for all the skills you wanted.

- read an incognito scroll AFTER getting in the guild , if you use an incognito before going down the stairs, the status will be actually cancelled and you'll the target of a giant focus fire of everyone down there, and the guild trainer will be hostile and will not teach anything to you.

- you can bring all your party members without having to cast incognito on each of them, the spell effect is for the whole team fortunately, it's actually a must to bring the meat walls whole team because of what is following :

- Elona+ also made something new : the guildmaster of each guild is completely aware of you as soon as you enter the map (even if he's in the other side, behind several rooms and walls and can't see you in any possible way), he knows you're there, even if you have the incognito status.
As soon as you're in the guild map, he will run through every walls to your position in order to murder you .
But if you're incognito, it's only him that will act that way, every other guild npc on the map will still ignore you.
Good idea is to teleport away in the hope you're going to land near the guild trainer.
Your npc party members will very likely be one-shotted by the guildmaster (damage output is insane) so you'll need them to take those shots instead of you (as you're not going to survive much hits)

Getting back to the stairs is another story (teleport and luck) due to the guildmaster running completely amok , on my mage guild infltration (i joined the fighter guild), managed to learn 2 skills before having to teleport, unfortunately it didn't worked greatly as the guildmaster still got me.
Fortunately with the item lost when crawling up, i still had kept my most important ones.

if you're someone very masochist that is playing in the game mode that has permadeath, well don't infiltrate a guild is the best solution :D

A trick about the guildmaster's bee-line: it still needs line of sight to do anything to you. So if you hide behind a wall, or otherwise out of line of sight, the guildmaster will spend its turn trying to reach you and (generally) end its turn entering your line of sight, immediately next to you (i.e. crashing through a wall to do so). This conveniently allows you to use the rod of teleport other to port the guildmaster away for another few "safe" turns as it beelines again to you without having LoS to make attacks.

Guild halls are small so you don't get a lot of time, but it should be enough to do what you need to do. Ostensibly you only need to be there to get to the nearest trainer, interact with them for 1 turn to train (or does the dialogue close after training a skill? I forget), then leave.

I believe this would be a slightly better idea than teleporting yourself away, as this can move you away from the trainer or the stairs and prolong your time in the hall, risking a deadly confrontation and that your incognito will fade.

By the way, if anyone wants it, I've got zips for E+C 1.74.1.7 (E+ 1.74), which is before most of the stupid shit that prompted the creation of E+C-G started.

It's still a good idea to get Elona+ Custom - G , as you can benefit of all the new stuff (and additional translations in comparison to regular Custom) without having to deal with all the terribly bad tedium (i really wonder what they were thinking when they added hydration) and etc... that the Elona+ added.
