Prologue: Desert Starts

It's been a while since the Spark, as some monsters call it. Over the years, things change. Time goes by, the seasons change, as does the land, in time.




Bonetown has become one of the only hubs in the Great Desert for trade, it's capital, and Samedra, with her ally Grizel, were traveling in a caravan to see about selling some of her wares. Then the Caravan was attacked. Arial, who had been patrolling with one of the smaller desert town's guards, Alshadmar, hears the commotion, and come across a scene of Tarvos and Undead tearing apart the caravan. Upon arrival, only two of the caravan remain.

Starting on a Desert Tile reduces your Total Movement by 1 for that turn.
Desert Dunes are a Desert Tile, but act as Hills.(This means you lose 1 move when starting on them)
See the Red Line? That's a cliff, you cant pass through that line.
Palm Trees, or the Oasis equivalent. Grant's 10 Evade and 1 DR. No Mov cost to enter.

Tarvos have Equine as their special. This confers to them both a weakness to Horse Killing Weapons, as well as the ability to use Canto.

Their sure movement, as well as being their body, allows them to transverse hills, though the still suffer from horse-type move penalties.

Arial darted out from cover to join the ragged caravan survivors, longbow in hand.

: "Everyone stay calm! Bonetown is sending more warriors to help, but they'll be some time. We can hold out if we stick together!"

[SirAston]

"Merchants to and from Bonetown have our protection. Gorgon, call the Mauthe Doog and gather behind me. By decree of the Bleached Shambler's champion, the pilferers have forfeited their right to exist."

The Mauth Doog in question looks up at the skeleton's command.
"I can understand you, you know."
Nonetheless Grizel moves to 12,4.

Stay calm? No, in her opinion, this is the perfect time to get pissed off. This gaggle of two-bit thugs think they can raid her caravan and pick her off like some easy target? By the time she's done nobody's going to get that stupid idea in their heads anymore, and as for the brigands themselves, well--corpses don't get ideas.

By the time the Bonetown guards reach them her attention is fully on the bandits and she's seething, pointed teeth bared, the tangle of snakes comprising her hair writhing and hissing in outrage, the twin snakes comprising her approximation of arms already seeming to give off dark energies ready to be fired off at whoever's pissing her off.  "You think any of you are going to come out of this alive?! I will put you all so far back into the ground that you strike fucking oil--"


She turns around at the sound of the skeletal cavalry's voices, seeming to tone down her hostility a little once she realizes that they're not more brigands. "...Right. Well, if you're offering to keep them busy, Bonejangles, I won't deny." A small snort of laughter escapes her as she imagines the idea of 'calling' Grizel like a pet. "She is Grizel, not a common Wolf, even if she does eat like one at times. We'll hang back for now and when they're close enough we'll make them wish they'd never resurrected."

Move to (11, 4), attempt a Gorgon Eye on Highway Sword Bone D.

Grizel smirks (Or, well, does the closest a wolf can to a smirk) at the comment about her eating habits.
"If there's one thing wolves have right it's how much more satisfying a meal is when you don't even bother with acting civilized."

"Grizel, my advice remains unchanged, but your development of the Spark has been acknowledged. Gorgon, my name is not Bonejangles. There is a possibility you have confused me with the champion of another clan, if there is a champion named Bonejangles to begin with. My name is Alshadmar."

He then slightly turns his head towards Arial, speaking in a lowered, more subdued voice.

"Arial... Please make sure those two get into a more safe spot. I'll keep the nearby brigands busy for a moment, then join you within a minute."
