And that's not the end of it.
THere are now known 19 magma crabs in the magma sea and volcano. What do you call a group of magma crabs?

Good news: All the little dude needed was some leather, so I ordered a turkey slaughtered and it's hide tanned. Now he is working secretly.

Please don't be a toy boat.

What?!?!
Someone died?!!?
HOW?
Minkot?
Oh.
Minkot is an upset dwarf who just punched a dwarf to death.
I'll have to kick her out.

According to Google, the collective noun for a group of crabs is "cast". So, "a cast of magma crabs".

Good luck with stress control.

Apparently Minkot is "Overwhelmed with Horror!" now.
Bit too late for that, ain't it?

19th of slate, 119
I've decided to open up the caverns. Not to the public, but all of these booze wasting monster hunters. This isn't a resort, you know!

It'a chasing a carpenter!
NOOOOO!
It chased him into the birds!
Phew.
Tobul chopped it in two, without a scratch.
Only the carpenter and two birds died.
Make that three birds.
One thing is for certain: we shall burn those unholy remains.

Some migrants arrived.
We now have an even 100 dwarves.

12th of felsite, 119
The bridge to the caverns has been built. Ill have some cage traps made before we dig the last part out to open the caverns.

15th of Felsite, 119
That's interesting... The goblin head we put on display still hasn't rotted. Does goblin flesh have antibacterial properties?

23rd of felsite, 119
I totally did not forget to unlock the doors after the attack. 100%.

3rd of hematite, 119
Some badger cubs were born in a cage. Good thing there's nothing about animal cruelty in the Code Of Ethics.

The humans are here!
Sorry about the blood.
And the corpse.
Ol' Kilkrost finally got himself killed when he pick a fight with our warrior-scholar, Zulban.
Wait, you cleaned that up?
Uh, nevermind! No murder here!

18th of hematite, 119
We'll trade with you once all these dead people's clothes are loaded in...
Wait, did I say dead people's clothes? I meant clothes of our own making! We just like to bless them by our ancestors! Yeah! That's it!
Also, I need a nap.

23rd of hematite, 119
Ah, a good nap now to trading.
We got mostly luxury things such as instruments, books, jewels, and of course booze.

25th of hematite, 119
A strange mood. All he needs is plant cloth and rough gems. Easy peasy.

4th of Malachite, 119
Work is slow on the project. To be honest, it's less of a project and more of an experiment.
But that's classified.
The strange-mooder is going strong, hasn't paused once yet.

5th of Malachite, 119
Wait... hehe.
That last werelizard we killed?
That was Arkur Pujaote.
One of the three confirmed werelizards from Tradives, a fortress founded over here by some strange dwarven civilization from far away, called the... Stooked Popes? Weird name.

10th of Malachite
Everything is going fine.
Blocks for the project are being pumped out like crazy,
The caverns are open (With guards)
and two of our best warriors are stuck in a tree.
Wait, WHAT?
HOW DID THEY GET IN A TREE?
Just cut it down so they don't die of thirst, please.

13th of Malachite
Don't worry, they are fine now.
Oh, and here's the artifact:

20th of Malachite, 119
Well, opening the caverns has been fun.
So far the only dangerous thing in the first level is a lot of troglodytes and a troll. The former was mostly decimated by monster hunters an the second tried to get in but was kill by the military.
Migrants have also arrived.

22nd of Malachite, 119
We're having a small problem of people trying to get body parts out of the caverns. I've just had the corpse stockpile removed.

25th of Malchite, 119
One of the new migrants is a high master papermaker, but also a novice hammerdwarf.
Can you guess which I picked?

26th of Malachite, 119
Uuuum....
Wrong-way" border="0
The human merchants SOMEHOW found there way in to the caverns.
I know see why they have a reputation for stupidity.

4th of Galena, 119
I've decided to put the troll corpse on display. Nothing bad could happen.

I've been growing more and more paranoid about forgotten beasts. At least one should of shown up by now, right?

11th of Galena, 119
The experiment is going well, but I have a idea for after the experiment...
Anyway, today is pretty slow so I'll stop there.

14th of Galena, 119
Soooo one of the beast hunters has found a downward passage.
I'm having it blocked. I don't want any nasty things welling up from a lower level.

18th of Galena, 119
I'm also having a kitchen/brewery dug out next to the dining room. Don't worry, the engraving for the entrance is someone dying of dehydration.

19th of Galena, 119
That's bad. THere's a giant cave spider REALLY close to the entrance to the caverns. I'm sending the whole milita to kill it.
Or just the novice lasher, apparently. Know what? I''l just close the gate.

24th of galena, 119
It's leaving us alone, so I'll reopen the gate.

Oh dear.
That cave spider had killed two and has been named Mamotgim, "Plaitedtwisted".
Now i'm afraid to go after it.

Project is going fine, though now there's vomit all over it from cave sickness.
Other than that, not much to report.

(Same for Beast Slayer)

That spider is likely to straight-up slaughter any melee-dorfs you send after it, however legendary they may be. Marksdorfs will kill it pretty reliably, if you can just keep it from reaching them.

Right now not much has happened at all.
I would love to play an adventurer, But I'm nervous to retire.
Any tips to keep the retirement antics down?
