As it turns out, there's an engraved stone tile from mid-late 250, covered in faded paint and yellowed varnish, depicting eleven of the founders and early inhabitants of Cheesesplatter (if the handwritten notes on it are to be trusted).

That’s beautiful Hydocyanide. I love the attention to detail and personality traits. Do you mind if I put  that image on the original post?

How did you drown?

Ah. Found the problem: he fell in a well downstairs. I'll have it removed.

It wouldn't be a proper Breadbowl/Breakfastpit sequel without someone drowning in a well. Frankly, I'm just amazed it isn't a baby.

With that said, did someone repurpose the area under the depot as a barracks or something? Sparring and fighting are the only reasons I'm aware of for dwarves to fall in wells.

Here is the dwarven caravan!

Why won't anybody engrave Tosid's memorial slab? I put it on high priority and yet no one is doing it!

Do you have an engraver, and a slab for them to engrave? If you do, no idea.

Guys, right now I'm dealing with some personal problems, so I'd rather not take the fourth year. Believe me, even if I forced myself to play and write in my current state, it would be half-assed and lazy. I hope Superdorf is ready for an earlier turn.

Uhh. I'm gonna be really busy 'till this Wednesday... depending on how long DwarvenLord takes to finish, I might have to bump myself down a notch on the turnlist.

Sorry, everyone... I'd hoped to have more time than this.  :-\

2nd of sandstone, 252
I see why no one was using the craftdwarves' workshop: only one person was allowed to use it and she didn't have the correct labors.

5th of sandstone, 252
Setting up a hive; I'm going to leave the next person to build it up more.

12th of sandstone, 252
Golden tomb is probably not going to get done; a small section of floor  still needs to be put in place and most of the roof needs to be installed still.

19th of sandstone, 252
Floor is done.

27th of sandstone, 252
More migrants. I'm not even going to try.

13th of timber
Notes to the next overseer:
Please finish the golden tomb. Install roof and sarcophagi, then assign the tombs.
Expand the one hive we have and make mead.
We need more bedrooms.
Find a apple tree and make apple cider. Because I love apple cider.
Watch out for elves. (Hehe. 'watch out for elves.' Hehe.)
Watch out for werebuffalo.
Get more gold. SO. MUCH. GOLD.
Find a solution to our small temple problem. AKA EVERYONE PRAYING AT THE EXACT SAME TIME.
Butcher some animals. I need some meat, and so does the mountainhome.
Make some stockpiles so people don't have to walk half a mile to get something.

Alright, my turn is done, I've logged into the file depot, but for the life of me it's won't upload the dang save file. I'm not even sure which file to upload. Help?

You need to compress the folder into file format first. What operating system are you using?

I'm not an expert with computers, but everything that I download that works says Windows 64.

Oh good, you figured it out. Thanks!

Soo... I could take the save and start playing... but if I do, I may not be able to finish within my two-week deadline. If that's what y'all want, I'll give it a try, but I can't promise I'll make it through the whole year.

I'll take a look, at any rate.

EDIT: Or rather, I would take a look if Dwarf Fortress would recognize the save... it's not registering properly. Compatibility issues? Random flub on my part? I'm running a Linux operating system.

The save loads properly on the Windows version of stock DF, if that helps.
