40 isn't old
« on: March 15, 2019, 12:27:49 am »

(disclaimer: I am 30)

I just met the author of THIS CHAIR ROCKS, and while she is 66, she is very...youthful.

Aging is different for everyone, depending on habbits, dna, environment, heck maybe even luck. Seen Toady One's interview in Polygon and I know he has too many PMs with his project to get to it, so maybe if I just send this into the Bay 12 conciousness he will receive it by osmosis.

You are still young dude. Do some stretches, eat well, get a little worked up once in awhile(even a half hour of exercise a day can do wonders) but there are people so much older that feel young and laugh at someone that number referencing it as old age. Don't prove them wrong by not taking care of yourself though.

And best of luck with your medical expenses.

As someone who is 2014 years old (according to my profile anyways), I agree

You are still young dude.
Well, you say that now. But wait a few years, develop a shortness of breath, a pain in the spine, maybe introduce a haemorrhoid or two to the outside world, and you might change your goddamn mind. I'm halfway through to another decade, and am starting to wonder how do people even stay alive after 40.
You're a child, is what I'm saying. You're a youthful, perky child full of naivete and hope. I'd tell you to be ashamed of not being jaded and decrepit, but then again, it'll come soon. Very soon. Any moment now. Just look out for those haemorrhoids. They want to be free.

I'm 40+3, and while it's not old, it's not young either. Your body definitely starts showing signs of deterioration. I threw out my back three weeks ago *while sleeping*.  :'(

Is that already not so young to love a woman for singing, nor so old to dote on her for anything, or does one really have to wait five more years?

I CAN only speak from my experience. Though I have been shared the experience of others, is what I am saying. Like 2 days ago, I was in a room with 50 ish "seniors"... as they were very "into" what Mrs. Applewhite had to say. She talked about the "U curve of happiness" How people are happiest in their early and late years... finally letting go of their crushing expectations on themselves. Maybe I am wrong, maybe she is wrong, maybe you are wrong, maybe all those older people were wrong.

But I don't value your horrible homeroidal experience more than hers? (best of luck with that, of course)

Hemorrhoids are very common. Nearly three out of four adults will have hemorrhoids from time to time. Sometimes they don't cause symptoms but at other times they cause itching, discomfort and bleeding. (source)

hmmmm, as a drunk 29 yr old man I say that last year I had a fling with a 66 yr old woman.

my point is that Ive seen very, very attractive 'old' people.  Its a lot more about their spunk and spirit than their looks.  And in young people too, frankly.

I feel age is less to do with years than regrets.

Alas, the folly of youth.

F*** my ass.
I had deep (as in, pretty far up the rectum) hemorrhoids a few years ago and it was a pretty bad time. Worst itching of my life.
