I'm a bit concerned about claiming a dwarf here. It seems like life expectancy in this place is about as shit as the beer. Oh well, get me a dwarf and let's count how many years months days I survive.

I'd recommend building the forge above the magma sea. There's less to go wrong, and I guarantee something will probably go wrong.
