Yliss releases a long, impressed whistle as she observes the Falkar flying into a tree.

"Gee, if you're doing that for Keilee and it produces such results, then she really means a lot to you, I guess."

Then, given the fact no enemy is nearby, her view wanders over the rest of the battlefield. Things are surprisingly tense there.

"Yikes... We gotta do something there!"

Then, she saw how Ito and Jarvis were doing a charge, in partial vain. Was it glory? Desperation? A wish to end it quickly? Whatever it was, it wounded them pretty badly, especially Jarvis. Keith was now noticing everything going on, too.

"Keep calm, Keith."

"Pretty sure we will all survive this, but still, just in case..."

"Whatever happens, never lose that self-confident cocky smile of yours, Keith. As long as you have it, everything is possible."

After having said that, Yliss suddenly sprints forward.

Immense hope in the face of crisis. Cheesy lines. Now making a tactical blunder because it would be better if Lilian attacks first...

She stops next to the Falkar in front of Vlad.

Logical thinking became hard lately. Always been emotional, but surpassing my feelings in any situation had been my top priority back in Japan...

She draws her blade, aiming at the Falkar.

"Lillian! Shoot that bitch in its butt! Vlad, whatever happens, inspire Lillian! I want her to shoot that big bitch over there! Serena, heal Keilee, Selene needs to stay at the front! We will end this now!"

Yliss began attacking, hoping to draw enough blood so Lillian can finish the job.

I wonder what all of this new confusing stuff means.

But something tells me it's a good thing.

F7, attacking with Steel Sword.
Suggest Lillian to attack from H6 and Vlad to perform Lillian afterwards.
Wants Serena to move to H10 and heal Keilee.

The first Falkar swoops low, blitzing past Marcia in a violent clash of blade and talon. Except the blade was actually an explosion, so it's pretty clear who's the bitch here. It is here in this moment, that second Falkar's talons tear into the maid's side, forcing her off her feet and dragging her along the ground.

Up close a Falkar is an imposing beast, a slender scaled body framed with burning wings and rending claws, driven by the closest thing nature has to a ramjet, air whistling through the open intakes in its chest.

Your typical Revivian would likely regard these intakes as a weakpoint. That is not false, though video game foes typically have the courtesy to actually stop and make themselves vulnerable every so often; Falkar are not endowed with such manners. Worse still, each intake is only about the size of an arrowhead, it would be no small feat to land a blow there.

No small feat from afar. Up close things are different.

Up close, dragged along the ground, the maid had ample time and ample opportunity. Gunpowder surges into the intake, a terrible substance in itself worse still in the pressurized confines of the Falkar's body. An explosion just waiting for a spark, and Marcia Henry had one hell of a spark.

"Checkmate."

The last thing through the Falkar's head, was its own skeleton. With such unpleasantries out of the way, Marcia turns to Jarvis.

"Jarvis, status upd-."

"Oh."

"Reinforcements are on their way. I'll cover our flank."

"Rosencrantz, good sir! How fares this front?"

Well... Lilian sure didn't remember the old times involving flying hellbeasts bent on murdering her and her friends. As forgetful as she could be she probably remember that part. Luckily however she'd picked up a few things since the last time she'd be out in the wilds, she knew how to defend herself now!

"I'll try my best Yliss! It's a huge target it should be easy ta hit... I think." the succubus was still a bit of a novice in these regards. She'd only dabbled with archery before she resolved to go adventuring... she only began seriously practicing. The castle she did land a shot on that gargoyle though... even if it was only because she was startled by a horse.

Lilian didn't have the time to throw her boots on, so she was going this fight barefoot it would seem. She moved as fast as her legs could move her, trying to get herself to a position behind the beast. She took a deep breath, centering herself to fire. "This one's for all the new friends." she thought to herself as she loosed one of her fine arrows. A streak of crimson red, much like her hair, flashed through the air. Hopefully the sentiments it carried were enough that it'd fly true.

H-6, Fire an arrow at that Falkar booty.

Or at the least... that would've happened had Yliss not struck a felling blow immediately. Damn, all of that was so cool in Lilian's head! Some super cool heroine shit she was gonna do there! Oh well, she supposed she'd get her moment eventually.

"Well, looks you got things covered here Yliss! I'll go see what I can help with elsewhere!" The succubus shouted before taking a look around the battlefield, at the least it seemed her new allies were quite good at this fighting thing. Many of the Falkar fell, it seemed those around were quite skilled. "It's good ta know Devil and Goddess is living up to being the best new adventuring party!" she thought to herself, hmmm she'd need to work on the name later. For now she had spied someone in need of help!

She rushed over, much like before in her mind, but this time to another's aid. She wasn't all that familiar with this ally, only knowing who she was from the earlier shouting match that had happened in the wagon. She went to lend her aid as best she could, pulling some sort of dull purple salve from her bag full of questionable medical supplies. Unbeknownst to Lilian, they worked but not for the reason she thought they did. It was always the accidental use of her succubus magic that caused her concoctions to have true function. "Here, this should get you back to tip top shape.~" she began applying the salve with a soft smile. And, for what it was worth she did actually know how to dress a wound properly. It was only that her concoctions worked unnaturally fast.

Her ability at such things as field dressings gave her the time to loose an arrow at the beast menacing the poor woman as well. Lilian hoped she could take it out of the sky~

Lilian uses what is probably ground up Falkar bone instead of actual healing herbs to cure Keilee's wounds.

While Succubus magic doesn't necessarily heal- it is, by and large, a draining magic that derives energy from expressions of lust, hence their dream-manifesting abilities-, that is not to say Succubi can't learn healing magic. Indeed, most Succubi who work in higher-end dream brothels learn some magic to use basic first aid.

What dark sorcery Lilian used, however, to heal Keilee remains beyond the scope of Generian science.

Sure enough all across the Eastern front the Falkar were dropping like flies, one by a thrown blade, another by arcane flames, a third perishes neath the hooves of her dear companion. Soon enough only two remained.

Drawing her blade Marcia steps foward unto their paths, in her wake drift embers the color of the twilit sky.

"My name is Marcia Henry, maid errant. May the gods have mercy, for I have none."

"..."

"Wait! What are you doing?"

"Hey! Over here! I'm supposed to be your opponent!"

"Oh come on! Not the gnome! He's not even a quarter your size!"

"...And now you're dead. Serves you right-"
And then 42 gets attacked right next to her. The gall of these wretched beasts.

"Hello? I'm standing right here!"

"Fight me you coward! Have you no honor? Will you not avenge your own fallen?"
