It is November 1st, 1945. You are an Australian soldier, driven by an overriding urge to kill somebody. Maybe that's not healthy, but you think it's somebody particular? You're about to participate in an American lead invasion of Kyushu, the southernmost major island of Japan. Hopefully, it'll be the end of the Pacific War, and the end of those darn Japs.

You are currently in a military base in Okinawa, very south of Kyushu. What do you do?

Justice, a humanoid carrying scales, jumps onto King Zultan: it's performing a citizen's arrest, or something. Europol fires at King Zultan, dealing 3 damage! A European hides behind them. Somebody finishes preparing something special, and gives it to Egan_BW as a token of appreciation. Nobody is able to become a horrible mutant after being hit with nuclear weapons, but somebody else challenges that, saying that's exactly what's happening to them. Somebody else will become a mutant tomorrow.

Somebody shows up in a Okinawa military base.

Accept the Something Special from Egan_BW, who certainly needs it less than me. Clarify that the person that I want to kill is Somebody Specific, as opposed to just Somebody or God forbid, Somebody Else. Because it's clearly moral to kill Somebody Specific, especially if it's for A Good Cause, but if I have to kill Somebody then I might just have to desert because that's just against my (William Redfern's) morals.

Assuming that's all cleared up, assemble a squad of Quirky Military Specialists and plan out the operation of Assassinating Somebody Specific.

You are part of a newly made supernatural branch of the Imperial Japanese Army. Come on, it's better than the newly made water management and disease branch! You're going to throw the Americans back into the Pacific, but you're currently establishing barricades in Kyushu (very north of American-occupied Okinawa) with a small group of oni. Somebody is watching you, from the distance.

You blow yourself up, but Europol has become really good at counter-terrorism, and only take 3 damage. (Justice is a concept. You can't blow a concept up, right?) You're dead, but you're not in jail, and that's what I call Very Successful!

Justice tackles TricMagic to the floor. It rips itself apart. "Prisoners don't deserve healthcare," somebody says. TricMagic can't heal until they die. Europol's target is dead, so they lay low and comfort some European boy. Somebody kills Egan_BW. I'd watch out for that slash next to your name. Nobody was harmed during Chernobyl.

Legion. Somebody else won't use Legion today. You can't call up a crowd on a date.

The more specific I am, the more what is to come will weigh on my, William Redfern's, conscience. Let's just say that Somebody Specific is a powerful demon working with the Axis, and they must be stopped!
Differentiate my specialists! No point in having specialists if they're going to be a blob of generic allied soldiers! We'll want a medic, engineer, sharpshooter, anti-tank, and occultist. Hey, we're dealing with demons here, of course we need an occultist!
