Set up further defenses, make sure everyone has a proper melee weapon, after all, Oni and melee go together quite well. Also make sure one of the members in the squad has a proper heavy machine gun, and at least one of them has a sub machine gun. Get a few of the Oni to set up a bunch of explosives like mines and other traps. While doing this, sing traditional Japanese gunka, and carefully keep an eye on the somebody in a distance. Additionally if the one who writes these reports of actions is a Gajin and doesn't know what Gunka is, detain him for obviously being a American Spy.

Eat Justice.
You eat the dead corpse of justice. It is tasty, and fulfilling, but it doesn't heal you.

Take Somebody Else out on a date to a coffee shop, despite being dead. Zombies may be gross, but we know that Vampires are totally hot, so I'll be a beautiful corpse.
Also, take the underscore from my name and use it to pierce the slash by my name, holding it in place and keeping it from harming me.

The more specific I am, the more what is to come will weigh on my, William Redfern's, conscience. Let's just say that Somebody Specific is a powerful demon working with the Axis, and they must be stopped!
Differentiate my specialists! No point in having specialists if they're going to be a blob of generic allied soldiers! We'll want a medic, engineer, sharpshooter, anti-tank, and occultist. Hey, we're dealing with demons here, of course we need an occultist!
You're in a coffee shop. You haven't ordered anything yet, and there are lots of waiters in the premises. Somebody else seems a bit ambivalent, but she asks a couple of questions: "tell me about this place," "what's your favourite type of coffee," "what can you tell me about the eldritch," "can you tell me about Reza Negarestani," "why do you want my book?"

She!? A couple!?

You pierce the slash next to your name. William Redfern explodes, showering his comrades with blood. This differentiates them, somehow. They remember their friend, and they remember that they need to kill this demon guy, somebody specific. I think the slash means that you've been split, somehow?

Float around a possess a zebra, while I'm in the zebra eat its soul to make mine stronger.
You possess a zebra, and consume its animal soul. +1 maximum HP, +1 soul.

You set things up: upgrade your youkai with modern weaponry, and... kidnap me for being a foreigner, and not knowing what gunka are? Kidnapping people isn't very nice. Xenophobia isn't very nice either. I'll make you rue the day you thought of that action. Not too hard, though. I still need you to play my game.

Reminds somebody that somebody died anywhere, everywhere and nowhere.
Somebody reminds you that somebody lives anywhere and pretty much everywhere. Nobody lives in nowhere, but nobody's died in nowhere either.
...
Nobody is dead in nowhere.

Somebody relishes your fight, and doesn't want you to lose your way. Somebody else is on a first date. Somebody wants Operation Downfall to commence tomorrow, or America and Japan will face the consequences.

Merge with the zebra (it should be easy because I ate its soul) then use my new zebra body to figure out where I am.

It's not really in my power currently, being dead, but now would indeed be a good time for Operation Downfall to commence. I would take direct control of the squad, RTS style, but I think it's healthiest to leave it at one body for now.

Now now, let's take questions one at a time, alright? Real people don't communicate by listing off questions real quick without any chance to interject!
Okay though, question number one. This is a coffee shop named Izzy's, which is the same name as I place I went to today but it's not literally the same place. They do serve the same things though. Coffee, tea, various, you know, fancy drinks, and bagels. Oh, and cookies of course!

Buy two cookies, one for me and one for Somebody Else. If she doesn't like it, I'll eat it, it's fine~

(Oh, and I know lots about the eldritch, provided that it applies here. It involves [kittens], obviously.)

"Is what? Oh, you mean the 'kittens'? Oh, I wouldn't suggest looking into those too closely, they tend to drive a person mad. That's what the brackets are for, you know."

“Right. I have free will. I guess it was just a random thought. Did you know that when I am off work I go to a lab and do experiments? There is one I’m working on involving a newly discovered parasite that infects a coffee bean, changing its color and making the bean sweet. So far I haven’t suffered any effects from this yet. Perhaps humans aren’t its intended host. Don’t worry. The coffee beans that are infected are safely in my lab. Have you done any experiments?”
See how long it is until my shift is over. If there is still time in my shift, ask everyone in the coffee shop about what types of coffee they want, if shift is already over, head to my lab.
