I think there are a some very experienced bay12 players here, like 4maskwolf and Persus13, though I'm certainly not experienced. You could direct questions to them.
Doubleposting is frowned upon in Bay12, but is perfectly ok in forum mafia as you musn't edit posts made ingame.
I'm not in my usual timezone right now. Though I'm often up past midnight in general. Unhealthy habit, that.

Well, yes. They are definatly expirenced. It's just that they probaly won't be willing to help ALL the time. But again, ICs are kinda like that too.

No. No ICs. On some other game, we had an IC...that was scum. They did everything in their power to mislead us and throw us off. So be careful what you wish for.

Apparently not in that game, and "truthfully" isn't much of a help. You could say the truth, but that doesn't mean there isn't an ulterior motive behind what you're teaching and that you're subtly influencing the players to think of stuff scum would want them to think.

In that game, the scum IC mentioned a bunch of roles like the Miller and Godfather. They truthfully explained what they are, but the motive behind bringing them up was to make the cop uncertain of their reads. Stuff like that.

I've never encountered this problem in a Bay12 game.

As for Miller and Godfather making the cop uncertain, that's the entire point of those roles. However, neither of them appear to be in this game.

One by one, the strange guests entered the waiting room and started purifying themselves and preparing for the ceremony. They were free to mingle, as well as to appreciate the scroll hung on the wall:

Purify your community as you purify your bodies.
Cleanse all sinners.
Cleanse all evil spirits.
Only in purity may enlightenment be attained.

Troubling. Soon, accusations would fly. It was known that some of the strangers were stranger than the baseline, but who? Who stood in the way of the others’ enlightenment? Who would be banished before even a taste of tea?

The game has begun.

Woohoo!
4maskwolf: How will your interactions with Persus13 differ from your interactions with the rest of us?
IonMatrix: The game has started at last! Have you consumed sufficient ketchup?
Naturegirl1999: How mean are you feeling today?
NJW2000: I do not have a question for you. How does this make you feel? How do you feel about my contradicting myself with that last question?
Persus13: What sort of play are you expecting from us newcomers and semi-newcomers?
Pooka: Red means vote, yes. It's nice if you put it in bold text, too. Why did you use a random-number generator to determine your first vote?
Superdorf: What color does the number "M" smell like?
