Couldn't find anything about it here and I think it's worth the read: Nate Crowley wrote an entertaining and nice illustrated story of his DF fort for Rock Paper Shotgun:

Basement of Curiosity deserves attention when it can get it. Well-written and pretty competently played, which is always nice. Love the drawings - Id especially

Yeah, saw this a while ago too! It's absolutely amazing. The writing style is so incredibly hilarious, and it remembers me of the dozens of stories that actually got me into DF in the first place. A++
