Okay, maybe "east" is a bit misleading. It's east of the tutorial cave, meaning you have to jump off the cliff and head northeast. Or if you don't like being crippled, go south along the cliff, around it into the plains and head north. It's about 12 hours journey, but we have a campfire set up.

Ignore the campfire closer to the forest, by the by. The campfire we're referring to is right on the edge of the river.

Or, I guess you don't have to ignore that campfire, it might also have people there, but they're probably not the same people.
