Dwarves wont bury decapitated Dwarf Head?
« on: October 09, 2019, 06:05:45 pm »

Recently my Militia had to kill one of my Bonecarvers, who went insane due to a mood. They put his body in a coffin, but it wasnt until moments later that I realized that they neglected to bury him with his decapitated head, which is now stinking up the work area. How do I get rid of it?

Kind of a captain obvious question but, do you have any refuse stockpiles or garbage dump zones nearby?

Most workshops have impassable tiles that dwarves cannot enter (but airborne body parts can). Deconstruct the building that the head is stuck on and your dwarves should be able to haul it off.

Also note that parts of sapients are NOT carried to refuse stockpiles, but to corpse stockpiles (with the exception of reanimated parts of former sapients, which are considered to be refuse (but the workshop impassable tile theory seems plausible in this case).
