After listening to the others, Duchess Dur speaks. "I second this notion. It is important to the people that they have bread to eat."

"If the people are unhappy, that will affect their attitudes, which can affect trade. And if trade is affected, so too will wealth dwindle. And that isn't good for anyone who relies on trade."

Move to Voting Phase.

Iain shrugs and sits back.

There are other mills for these people to use. I find it hard to believe a group of drunkards could accidentally burn down three mills, but even if they did, it is not the King’s duty to compensate someone for their inability to secure their property.

Duke Emmanuel glances to everyone around the room. “Well, I believe everyone has chosen a side. We should finish this.

"You are right that desperation affects one's attitude, Duchess," Drojand says slowly. "It's made me a fool and too quick to defend what pride I have left when perhaps there never was a threat to it. Well, I shall still see who is friend to Gamam. If it seems my friends would rather spend the King's money than their own, ah — I can't say I haven't had a touch of the same malady in the past."
