Actually I'm not sure why I added in dodge in the example... let me fix that. So you have to roll DR against being attacked. Then if you fail that you have to roll DR against the wound. If you succeed you don't get a wound.

Swarhob wanders into a cave and meets a bear. He draws his sword and goes to fight the bear.

The bear swipes at him, and he rolls Dodge. Failing to dodge the attack, he has to roll Resist Damage. Failing that too, he takes a Wounded at Right Leg quality.

The bear swipes at him again, and he fails yet again to dodge. He rolls Resist Damage and fails again. Now he has to roll Resist Damage against Wounded at Right Leg. He has a critical success!

Now Swarhob has the skill Resiliency 2. It will now be harder for his wounds to progress later on. He still needs to see a doctor about his leg though...

If succeed, than Raga resists damage and gains skill in Defense
If fail, than Raga gains Wound on Chest
Raga rolls Damage Resist again
If succeed, than Raga doesn’t take further damage and gains skill in Resillience
If fail, than Raga rolls another Damage Resist for Wound 1
If succeed, then Raga takes no damage and gains skill in Resilience
If fail, Raga rolls Damage Resist
If succeed, Raga takes no further damage and ranks up in Resilience
If fail, Raga rolls for Damage Resist Wound 1
If succeed, Raga takes no further damage and gains skill in Resilience
If fail, Raga rolls Damage Resist for Wound 2
If succeed, Raga lives
If fail, Raga dies

Well, you don't gain skill from successes normally, that only happens if you make a critical success or if you pay the amount of XP equal to the number of non-sixes you rolled.

Well, you only need to roll for the Wound if you take damage while already having a preexisting Wound, and it only goes up by one level maximum per hit, most of the time.

I'll warn you in advance if something that could potentially instantly kill you comes along.
