Fun (or not) divination dice effects?

Just decided to make a topic for sharing those, however much distinct ones there are. I got this, after i got "bone-chilling horror" trouble quest against a group that apparently never had any necromancers in it, but i don't think it was related.

Can anyone confirm what being cursed with bad luck does? Seems a bit abstract to be able to program anything meaningful happening as a result of it, but it's the roll my character just got. Skill reduction, perhaps?

Is it the same as the mummy curse? In that case it probably just makes you fail rolls more often.

I had all of my gear upgraded by the dice once. It was great.

That was also the first effect I got. Still trying for a polymorph effect, which I haven't managed to get so far from any of the shrines in my world.

Some of the effects are also just cryptic fortune-cookie-style text that I doubt have any real meaning in gameplay terms like "Your fate is sealed" or "Trust no one today".

I wouldn't be surprised if those did in fact have some impact even if minor. Given the track record. Maybe ask on FOTF.

Where do I even find dice? I've gone to multiple shrines and temples and none of them have pedestals.

According to Toady only around half of the shrines in a given world will have dice. Keep looking. ;)

Sounds like a boost similar to the Focused buff: a multiplier to all skill checks.
