Can anyone confirm what being cursed with bad luck does? Seems a bit abstract to be able to program anything meaningful happening as a result of it, but it's the roll my character just got. Skill reduction, perhaps?

Is it the same as the mummy curse? In that case it probably just makes you fail rolls more often.

It doesn't seem so severe to me. I got "week of bad luck" on my legendary swordsman and he still doesn't miss from tricky downwards and has reasonable chance of landing difficult.
Also, he has never lost his dodge roll since the divination.
If I recall, having mummy curse gave you 10% automatic failure on everything, so either I got lucky with RNG, or the effect works diffrently.

How do you roll a die? I seem to only get the option to name it by interacting with it with I.

Pick it up then interact with it.

The die has to be in your hand in order to be able to roll it. Strap any weapons you may be carrying away and make sure the die is in your hand when you view the inventory, then press Shift + I to have the option to roll.

Hm. For some reason I can't seem to get the die to appear in my inventory, even though my character should have it in his right hand.

Are you sure it isn't on another page? You might have to scroll down.

That would be it.

And suddenly my adventurer is a chimpanzee.

EDIT: Wait, hold the phone, stop the presses. I can still use my spear and shield. With my chimpanzee feet.

Yes, by testing it out on a random maceman who appeared, I can totally still use this spear.

Double down and roll the dice again with your chimp feet!

Sadly trying to fight a human maceman as a chimp is a futile effort.

In other news, my second adventurer successfully butchered the corpse of my old one. Is that normal in this version?

Also, weird thing, but my other adventurer and their horse encountered the maceman, and the horse immediately kicked the maceman in the ankle.

I think it's completely normal to butcher people into food, but I don't believe that you can by default eat butchered people due to the default ethics on most races.

Well, the corpse was represented with a c, but the meat is called human meat. On the other hand, my very human adventurer can still eat the meat. I guess polymorphing makes things weird?

Oh, right, you were polymorphed as a chimp at the time of your previous adventurer's death, right? I think that the game only cares about what creature you are when you die when it comes to stuff like this, so in that case it wouldn't impact the ethics if you decided to eat them. But, since the meat was called human meat and you could eat it, I'd wager there's a bug in there somewhere. I'd make a report on the bug tracker, just to be safe.

Apparently, very rarely, you can also be blessed with an [MAJOR SPOILER, HIGHLIGHT TO SEE] angelic ally. [MAJOR SPOILER, HIGHLIGHT TO SEE]
I wonder if these blessings and curses are sphere dependent?

I assume so, at least to some extent. If nothing else, the variant of metal is probably determined by sphere.
I might start recording my rolls, see if I can't compile some sort of probability chart for the different results... could be useful for the wiki! Dice are great fun.
